Dear Moonrise Bakehouse,
I recently discovered your unique bakehouse and I am extremely impressed with the quality of your products. The small batch approach ensures that every day there is something different in terms of selection and it is great. The variety keeps me coming back for more.
I must say, all the baked goods are fantastic, but my favorites are the countryside sourdough which has just the right amount of sourness, and the pistachio cookies which are simply to die for! Your attention to detail and commitment to using high-quality ingredients really shows in the end product.
But beyond the fantastic baked goods, the people who run this place are truly amazing. Their passion for what they do shines through in every aspect of the business and it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable.
Please keep up the fantastic work, Moonrise Bakehouse. I am grateful for the joy your products bring to my life and for the amazing people behind it all. Thank you for what you do!

Read moreCame after seeing it in food & wine for best bakeries. I love cookies, had some free time, so I took the train to Brooklyn to try. It's right next to a taco restaurant a block in, easy to miss if you don't walk by. I was greeted by a cashier who was extremely enthusiastic, great at explaining everything they had, and knew all of the ingredients in everything. I regret not him a tip, but I only had larger bills. A bakery run by bakers who love what they do.
The cookies are not as big, melty, or sweet as levian, but they were perfect. Surprised to say that, I thought levian was the more savory one after having Chip, but they are both insane cookies (not to say that it's a bad thing), and you'll realize it after having these. Chocolate oatmeal and pistachio were human sized, extremely flavorful, and crafted with lots of care. Bites full of goodness. Their bread was good too.
Might not be the most trendy cookies, but...
Read moreFinally came here today after having it on my Must Try list for ages. Their current hours are quite limited (Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 4pm) but it's definitely worth the visit when you catch them open. They're so friendly inside and the place smells immaculate. I bought one of everything, including a baguette, hot and fresh out of the oven. We got a slice of the zucchini carrot bread, sour cherry streusel muffin, chocolate pecan oatmeal cookie and a double chocolate brownie. All 5 things came out to $18.75. Such a good price for such high quality and delicious baked goods! Can't wait to try their sourdough (they were out by the time I got there: 245pm) and I'd love to try one of their cinnamon rolls when they have it back on the menu. The fresh baguette paired perfectly with brie and...
