National — Restaurant in New York

Delicious food! I've eaten in the diner for breakfast, and their pancakes (banana) were the bomb! Boyfriend had the french toast, and it was delicous. Eggs, sausages, bacon, and corned beef hash was very good. We also had the hot chocolate with whipped cream and also an egg cream, which was great. The diner itself isn't large, but seemed to be very busy. I plan to come back and try their oreganata, and fra diavolo. I ordered from UberEats from them, and am so surprised by this mushroom stuffed crab.. it is so tasty. Eggplant parmesan is huge, breaded, and tasty. Will update when I try more dishes. This place is a new favorite for me. I heard diners were dying out, but I hope this one doesn't-- mind you, this isn't a romantic place to take your date (unless they're cool). The lady that works the front counter is RUDE and NASTY! I ordered through ubereats, shortly after my delivery person arrived they called me and stated that he was told by her that someone else picked up my order a long time ago. I called to try and make sense of the confusion and this lady proceeded to yell, talk over me and speak overly aggressive for no reason at all. But wait there’s more! After I hung up on her to keep myself from cursing her out all of a sudden my order was FOUND! The burgers on this diner are so good. I come here because the cook knows how I like my burgers cooked. Today, I came in hungry and left hungry. There is this server, that from what I was able to hear, she does not handle to go orders. Are you kidding? To go orders are not important. So the owner, is having a conversation with this server about taking to go order. So I wait about a minute, and there is no Acknoledgement or please wait a few minutes.
