New China III — Restaurant in New York

I received a menu from new china III and decided to give it a try as I was new to the area. Ordered from their website, waited 30 minutes as the timer stated the food would be made and delivered by, no arrival after 30... no arrival after 1 hour. Gave the restaurant a call and they said "never received an order" well my card sure was charged like I did. Figured, oh well I'll just do a charge back later and placed my order while on the phone with them. Price difference was also over 20 dollars less bringing the order from 78 something to just under 60.

Opted to head directly to the restaurant to pick it up... cash only. Something they don't state anywhere. Not on their menu, not during the call, not on the front of their door. Fine. I go get the cash. I pay for the food.

I should have taken this as a sign to quit while I was ahead. Food tasted really poor quality, I'm not looking for a 5 star meal but frozen food reheated in the air fryer would be better and fresher! Worst of all they gave me small versions of three dishes I ordered in large.

Absolute worst restaurant experience I've had... ever. Won't be going back and I suggest you...

Flabbergasted by the food quality I experienced today.

I’m not a picky person - I can deal with some oil or things not tasting how I think they should or have experienced in the past, but this meal was an absolute disaster.

Shrimp toast - tiny little nuggets that tasted old and slightly rotten, all the while they were over fried in what I can taste is old old oil.

Dumpling - in a literal bath of oil, while simultaneously tasting bland and old.

Sesame chicken - the chicken and sauce itself were the saving grace as they were very tasty! However the pork fried rice was ruined by this off putting after taste.

The chicken lo mein was over-stuffed into a to go box which tells you of the portions and when my party had their share, everyone commented on how good it was.
