Nick's Bistro — Restaurant in New York

The quality of the food and the atmosphere were satisfactory. The service was satisfactory, although there is room for improvement. There was an issue with the bill and we were charged more than we should have been. I called restaurant and I was told to send pictures of receipt and the bill , which I did. Since Father’s day I been waiting on a response. I was told IT is supposed to fix the problem , I thought IT is in charge of computer issues not of refunds. The bill was $171 , my husband left 40 cash for tip got charged $213 including tip on his card as well. If my husband didn’t check the bank application he would not know he was overcharged. So in total restaurant took $80 tip. Still no response and I guy has my number and I have his and all he says is IT. First time this happens in this restaurant, I’ve been there plenty of times and never . But now who knows if it has happened since I didn’t check my bill statement at that time. Maybe restaurant do the same to everyone else and no one notices, but it’s not professional to take people money that way whatsoever. Is June 26 and it happened 10 days ago, please explain to me what is IT going to resolve that they haven’t yet . I would of thought the Manager , owner , someone with a straight up answer would actually do something. This experience makes me realize that Bills and bank statements should be looked at more often. $80 extra is a lot of money and I know I’m not being extra when I say this . Especially for a brunch that was $170. Bad customer service I should add. Thanks but I won’t be back. Definitely Lost...

Last night I went to one of the best Greek restaurant in Queens "Nick's Bistro" located at 104-20 Metropolitan Ave, Flushing, NY, Nick's Bistro is a delightful gem that offers a warm, inviting atmosphere coupled with exceptional cuisine. We chose to dine here since we have just brought home a young puppy and didn't want to leave her alone at home. It was our first time here. They have outdoor heated seating, and the reviews were pretty good. We ordered Grilled Octopus (absolutely perfect and tender), Pikilia (assorted Greek Spreads) with pita, Melitzanosalata (Eggplant) &  Tarama (Caviar Spread), Greek salad, and the creamy broccoli soup (of the day) for starters. The Athenian Filet was nice and tender, smothered in mushroom sauce. The Jumbo Shrimp Stuffed with a crabmeat was good. The Angel Hair Cappellini was excellent with the right tenderness and remained creamy throughout the dinner, even when it started to get a little cold towards the end. The lemon potatoes and grilled vegetables were the perfect sides. We brought a Birthday cake, so we didn't experience any deserts. The heated outdoor space was rather cold, but we had blankets to put over our laps. I'm guessing that due to the weather, we had the whole outdoor space to ourselves, and very attentive staff. The ability to enjoy a nice Birthday dinner together with the family including the furry baby was priceless.
