O'Sake — Restaurant in New York

Serves me right. Today I ordered Japanese Chicken fried rice with vegetables $10, what I received was a bowl of rice and must be a teasponn full of tiny chopped carrots and onions, tasteless and Chicken Teriyaki $12 tasteless chicken and the sauce is blah. I know from past experience they suck when it come to these 2 meals. It's been years since I ordered these specific meals. I usually order Sushi/Sashimi to keep it simple. But today, I'm done. Not wasting my money anymore. Since the pandemic their menu prices changed with increases the 4 times I ordered. Service is very quick even when crowded. Everyone is friendly and has a lot of patience. You're greeted as soon as you walk in the door and treated as if you are VIP guests.

The menu is mostly ramen but the variation of what you can get in it is practically endless. If you don't like ramen there are other things on the menu as well. Also if you like to drink, they offer a discounted happy hour which lasts about 3-4 hours.

The atmosphere is perfect for a date or an outing with friends. This location is pretty small but it is very cozy. You also have a chance to get free menu items by following them...

People are nice and attentive but this is Chinese making Japanese food. If you don't know real Japanese cuisine then you might like it. Otherwise take a pass on this place. Thick greasy tempura on my veggies was disgusting and I had to peel it off. Japanese make tempura light and not greasy. We went here because the marine parkway bridge was backed up with over 1 hour delays so we were sort of trapped. My friend who eats anything did not like the rolls.
