Good Bagels, but something is seriously off. They have some good bagels and good tasting fish/cream cheeses. I would even go so far as recommending their food if you don't mind the other thing. The other thing being is every time I walk out of that place, I feel like I'm being screwed. Every time i go in there the prices seem to change or they just choose to charge me different prices. The last times I have gone in there, I have ordered the same exact thing, (4 bagels and 1/2 pound of whitefish), yet the prices are different every time: $14.00, $12.00, $12.50, $13.50, and today $13.00). It's not surprising with their cash only policy, even knows they have a computer right next to the register,, but why do they have something blocking their register screen. You can't see what numbers they input or the total. amount being charged. Either there is complete incompetence by the cashier, every cashier that they hire are stealing from them ( not sure how you can find that many in a row), they are doing something shady, or massive fluctuations in the White Fish futures market. ;) I've been holding off writing this review because of the times we are in, I don't want to see any restaurant go under. But these antics have been going on for years and it's just not right. That is why today was my last attempt at trying to help this local business. I will never walk in their doors again. There are two much better bagel shops down the block, They have better bagels, they let you see what they are charging, and pricing...

I went into this store this morning and placed a simple order for a whole wheat everything bagel with low fat vegetable cream cheese. After it was clear that customers who came in after me already had their order (I did not ask for the bagel toasted) I inquired. I was told it was coming right up and I was asked to pay $4.40. I finally got the bagel and was given a regular everything bagel. When I pointed out that I ordered whole wheat everything they asked me to wait. I then received another bagel. This time is was just a regular whole wheat bagel. Given that I was now waiting almost 10 minutes for a non-toasted bagel and they got a simple order wrong twice, I asked for my money back. She only gave me back $4.00 - I was so frustrated at that point I did not even asked for the other $.40. Bagels looked good (not that I ever had the opportunity to taste one) but the service was abysmal. They should have offered me a free bagel but instead the cashier was annoyed when I kept pointing out that I was being given something other than...

Each and every visit is a pleasant experience. The artisans are the best, the BAGELS ARE THE BEST AND are CREATED fresh daily. The counter executives pay attention to orders with care, grace and a winning and genuine smile! Not too mention that the lines can sometimes be long (especially on the weekends), but the line moves with precision and rhythm. The register executive staff at the counter are generally approachable, and greet customers openly and reply nicely with beautiful words like, hi and hello. Thank you and how're you doing. The leader of the team is Frankie, and he is all matter of a cool vibe on a smooth Autumn evening. Also of appreciative mention is Adam.

Victoria, LeShawn, and the Entire Team are winners of everything cool and set the bar of success! Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe is great for Brooklyn because Brooklyn is the place to be, and it stands as a testament to what a good business looks like.

Sending a huge round of applause and a High-5!

Thank you much and see you around th...

I’m from North Carolina and I was in the Brooklyn area trying to find a New York bagel. Tried a lot of stores until I came across this store. And thank god I found a bagel that is worth the wild. Besides the bagels. The cream cheese is homemade. Wooooow. Unbelievably delicious. The size and taste of the bagels and selection is amazing. So I went back last week to New York and I had to stop by and bring me back some bagel. I told Mr. Frank the owner (wonderful guy and awesome family) that i need dozens of bagels to take back with me. He said I got you. Gave him 4 days heads up notice. He called me on Friday and told me the bagels are done. I took back 15 dozens of bagel with me. Thank you so much. Of course I gave them to friends and family. If you want to try a great bagel this is the spot. Make sure you take cream cheese home.

The best coffee in the entire USA is in New York and the best coffee in NY is here, at the Olde Brooklyn Bagel. Don't be put off bu the too cute name. That's the only thing that's wrong. Since they make the effort with coffee, it almost goes without saying that the bagels are sublime. Perfect taste, perfectly cooked, toasted perfectly as requested. There is already a picture of a lox and cream cheese bagel and it looks just like that. More lox than cream cheese and the perfect amount of each ingredient. If you're a picky New Yorker or a recent arrival who has finally come to appreciate the meticulous attention that food is given in New York, than this stop is worthwhile, within minutes of Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Museum. Oh, btw, their Black & White cookies are also perfect.

I’m the past the gluten-free bagels here were almost mini pizza-bagel sized, but it appears they have started making them bigger! That being said, it wasn’t cheap, but a nice treat! I had been going to another place because theirs were normal sized, but decided to stop in today because I was craving their sun-dried tomato, tofu cream cheese. I was happily surprised to see the size today! Texture was also very close to the classic New York (glutenous) bagels we all know and love (which I can’t eat anymore). This one today was tasty and nostalgic. The everything seasoning reminded me of childhood. I make my breakfast most days, but I will start coming back here more often if they keep it up!
