My wife and I have been coming here for years now and have loved it as our go to date night spot. We typically get the antipasti plate, salad, and greens pizza, but have probably tried everything on the menu, including all the pizzas. We always get a fantastic bottle of wine too.
We loved Oma Grassa so much we decided to have our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here. We knew everything would be fantastic based on our years coming here but to say we were blown away by how fantastic everything was would be an understatement. Our family and friends raved about the food, wine, amazing staff, and gorgeous space. The staff, and especially Adam the owner who worked with us for a few months on planning, were so amazing and accommodating on all things but also for my dad in a wheelchair and for all of our group’s different dietary restrictions (and not just providing an option but delicious ones).
Words can’t stress enough how much love we have for this restaurant and especially for the staff who make...
Read moreWow, oh wow. PIZZA. Oma grassa on Fulton Street in Brooklyn. While we were here it was the best pizza we had on our trip. It was a Friday, I had just arrived in town to have a very much anticipated weekend with my Love in New York. She had just finished up rehersal and we needed a small bite to tied us over until dinner...it was so good. The place was perfect. You know its all about the crust and it was just burnt enough, fresh ingredients, the perfect pie. We were in Pizza heaven. They have a simple but wonderful menu and a decent wine selection. Can't wait to try another pizza soon! I have learned that it always helps when your sitting across from the most amazing person you've ever met. That's when your food and your experiences in life climax. You know the one, that one true love, that one soulmate, that one who makes you calm, who helps you be more you...yes that's her. Thank you for being all that to me and more....

First, we asked if they could cut the pizza in 8 slices instead of 6 since we have 4 people and he both declined and made us feel like idiots for even asking. Second, at the end of the meal we tipped 22% for the meal, which is listed as the default option (quite high for little service). 22% equated to $11 on each bill. After we paid, the owner stomped away saying “11%!” really loudly multiple times. Taken aback, we realized that he must have misread the receipt and thought we tipped 11% instead of it being $11 dollars. When he came came back we made this clear to him in order for him to stop cursing us and he said “yeah you did”. When we insisted and were clearly correct he just said “oh ok” and then walked away.
Just not the way an establishment should be run....
