My group and I went to this theater for the New York Comedy Festival to see Gabriel Iglesias. I was a bit worried about our seating, we were sitting in the mezzanine row o. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to see the stage, the seats could be extremely tiny, or they would be something in our view. But everything was quite amazing, row O is at the very back of the mezzanine level. which though we were very far from the stage gave me a lot of legroom, I realized everyone else in front of me had to stand up every now and then because if you're taller than 5 foot 7 your legs will not fit. Gabriel Iglesias is known as The Fluffy comedian, so a lot of big people were there. I'm a big person myself and thankfully my seat accommodated for that, but I don't think others were so lucky. Read moreI was excited to explore the opera scene in Brooklyn, but it seems like this venue lacks a mission to engage the broader community in the arts. During my visit, I asked about their offerings, hoping to find a way to experience a performance. As a student, a $400 ticket is simply out of reach, and I imagine many others in the surrounding community face similar challenges. Art should be something that brings people together, but the current pricing structure makes it feel exclusive. I believe this theater could make a meaningful impact by offering more equitable access — whether through student discounts, community programs, or accessible pricing initiatives. Opera has the power to inspire and connect, and it would be wonderful to see that opportunity extended to...
Read moreThe 34th Annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr Martin Luther King,Jr. At BAM. The experience was amazing. I think our political figures finally get it. I believe they want to put health first as a strong message and I back that up 1000 percent. My goal was to be open minded and listen and I heard so many amazing speakers including Eric Adam's our Brooklyn Borough President. He was very inspirational and I felt like he was in touch with Brooklyn. The entertainment the diversity the messages were very moving. I am glad I attended this event. It gave me a chance to connect and network with like minded individuals that want to make change through innovation and technology. I applaud them for utilizing 360 technology to reach new growing audiences that consume information differently. Maybe they will get it right. Let's see I will keep you posted Thank you Cynthia for all...
