went to this place the other night, i had been before on a quiet night and really enjoyed my meal and everything about the restaurant. but my second visit was not enjoyable. i went with a friend, it was very busy and we had to wait to sit at a normal table for 15 minutes. we ordered two pasta dishes and 2 glasses of wine, we were served the wine immediately, and my food came out in 15 minutes. but my friend did not receive hers. we waited about 10-15 minutes before waving someone over, we both work in restaurants so we understand what it’s like when a restaurant is busy and we didn’t want to stress out the wait staff anymore. we flagged over a girl, she said she was gonna go check. another 20 minutes go by, no updates from the wait staff, no food, complete confusion. i couldn’t enjoy my food because i felt uncomfortable eating while my friend was STILL waiting. we wave the girl over again, ask her for an update. the girl says “they’re making it….what did you order again?” how do you know they’re making it if you don’t know what she ordered? a little while later her food finally comes, we don’t receive any sort of apology or explanation as to why it took (i did the math) a full 40 minutes for my friend to get her food after i had gotten mine. it seemed like they just had no idea how ridiculous the situation was or that they didn’t care. the food was good though, even cold which mine was after waiting for so long so that my friend and i could eat together. staff just seemed really off of their game. i understand it’s easy to forget things while working a busy night, but an apology or even an explanation as to why we just had to go through this would’ve been appreciated cause at least then i would’ve been able to empathize with the workers. but nothing was said, they acted like nothing happened. we aren’t the type of people that want to be rude or make a huge fuss to the wait staff. but it was actually ridiculous, i’d go again, but if they’re busy i won’t. because i can’t risk that happening again. it was a really unenjoyable experience for...
Read moreThe cutest pasta spot in Brooklyn. You can get any pasta for only $13 here, and I was awe by the value for the quality I got. The portion was really generous, and their homemade pasta was unexpectedly decent at this price point. Casual ambiance, quick service, clean and spacious seating area. It was a lovely spring afternoon to sit in their backyard.
*Pipette Ragu The snail-shaped pipette was tossed with italian pork sausage and parmigiano reggiano cheese. First bite I got the chewiness from the pasta, followed by a burst from the rich herb sauce being clung onto the curves. I mopped up the creamy sauce remaining on my plates with the complimentary bread. The focaccia was soft and aromatic with a nice flavor of olive oil.
*Pappardelle Bolognese Another popular pasta on the menu. Personally I didn’t like it as much as Pipette Ragu. The bolognese was swirled with hearty meat sauce, yet lacked the depth of flavors to take it to the next level. Anyway for the price it was totally worth it. Both pasta was al dente and freshly cooked. Might skip on the bolognese next time and try their other pasta.
* Mafaldine Scampi Some foodie friends tried Forma’s squiggly pasta and loved it. It is also appearred to be their most popular item, so I decided to give it a try🍽️ The pasta was tossed in a creamy sauce with white wine, olive oil, and lemon butter. It was unbelievable to get 5 fresh shrimps at $13. The pasta was sprinkled with garlic bread crumbs and red pepper flakes to add crunchiness to your dish.
My Recommendations: Pipette Ragu

Read moreJust ordered Pasta today for our entire office. We order from here on a weekly basis - We have never had an issue before. Someone in our office can't have cheese (the pasta was delivered with cheese even though it is not described that way on the menu).
WE called the restaurant and the girl I was speaking to proceeded to make excuses and told us to go take it up with uber. This items had MILK ALLERGY listed on it - not an uber problem it is a restaurant problem. She also said that just because it say Milk Allergy doesn't mean that it can't have CHEESE!?!? Are you kidding me? She was extremely rude and argumentative for no reason. I asked her to give me her name and he refused - I think that she said that she had no name. I must have been talking to Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. I eventually hung up because she repeatedly told me that she wasn't trying to fight with me when clearly that is all she did. After arguing on the phone for a few minutes she offered to finally offered remake the food - That should have been offered immediately. At that point, I certainly wasn't trusting this person with handling food that anyone in the office was going to eat.
It's a shame because the food is so good, but the costumer service really needs some work. I probably won't be ordering from here again. As I said before, we order HUNDREDS of dollars worth of food on a weekly basis. Certainly can just as good of food in this area without the...
