Kinszee is the secret sauce that turns this dive bar into a full-blown mini club. Like, yeah—it’s a dive, but when she’s running the show, it feels like the place is pulsing with good vibes. Everyone’s dancing, everyone’s cool with each other, and even if your dance moves look like a warm-up gone wrong, Kinszee hypes you up like you just won So You Think You Can Dance. It’s impossible not to have fun.

The drinks? Chef’s kiss. I witnessed the most perfect Guinness pour of my life—seriously, it was art—and I’m still mad I didn’t take a picture. Next time, I’m documenting it like it’s a rare bird sighting. And the cocktails? She whips up the kind of drinks you’d expect from a fancy spot downtown, not your neighborhood bar.

I meant to post this review a long time ago, but better late than never, right? So, I'm from Louisville, KY and moved to Flushing with my wife earlier this year. I was looking for a good place to go and I think I found the best place in Flushing for a Kentucky boy or anyone looking for friendly place with ice cold beer. I love the atmosphere of this place. Everyone made feel welcome and it was just like my favorite place in Louisville. It was a special night on July 25th, a birthday celebration for a long time patron, with great food (on the house), reduced drink and beer prices and a great band named FOG - Four Old Guys - really great music and musicians. My daughter and I were in flushing looking for something local. I CANNOT say enough about Suzanne, the bartender. She made us feel so so welcome and safe - like family. It is import for her to have people feel welcome and safe any that’s exactly what we experienced. It’s small, and don’t go for food as they don’t have food service but you can bring in your own. ATM on sight as she doesn’t accept credit cards. Juke box was a hit and pool table. Fun, authentic NY vibe with a feel of a tavern- everything we were looking for.
