STEER clear unless you can sit in your chair and basically whisper to your company and definitely run if you have children! It is such a shame what I am about to write because I honestly wanted to like the place. The inside is okay, nothing special but still pleasant. The food is also good, nothing mind blowing but enough to say that you had a good meal. The staff on the other hand is HORRENDOUS with a capital H! They are rude and uninviting and not pleasant! They also add fees to the bill and gratuity without telling you. The first time I went there it was for my grandmothers birthday. We were a rather large party. We had 3 kids with us, I could sense the staff was giving off negative vibes about the children, but I said I wouldn’t let it ruin the experience being that it was a milestone birthday. Fast forward I went a second time, this time with 4 children and friends. We were quickly seated outside (not offered the inside) in a plastic tent area. I thought this would be better since we have children. Well let me tell you, they couldn’t wait to get us out of there. The staff was rude and would constantly give the children dirty looks and make comments. This was to the point where we took our food to go and left (keep in mind our bill was 200+) . I swore I would never go back again! A year later my girlfriends and I said let’s give it another try (it’s conveniently close to our homes). We were a party of 3 adults and 4 children. Everything was going fine, until we had to start begging for utensils, continuously raising our hands for water and stalking the waitress to order more. It was almost as if they were purposely ignoring us so that we could finish and leave. The kids were very well behaved, until it got late and one got a little restless. Well that’s all it took to break the camels back. The waiters started with the snarky stares. The children then got up and started walking to us for hugs, or wanted to sit on our laps. Well we must have missed the sign “Not allowed to get up unless you’re leaving or choking”! The waitress started rolling her eyes and staring. One of our children grazed her thigh on accident when they were trying to walk towards one of us and she quickly looked at the child as if it was a gremlin and said don’t touch me. I replied oh she didn’t mean to, the waitress just brushed me off. When we received the bill, they added a gratuity bc we were considered a large party and they added a cc fee without asking how we were actually paying. So if you don’t look and you pay cash, you will be paying a hidden fee. I am definitely not going there ever again! Who wants to pay 200+ and feel like you are a nuisance! Very rude staff and owners!!!! Sorry not sorry!
I can say they were rude (owners) because if you took the time to read my review, you would notice that I have been there more than once. As far as the kids go, if they getting up was too much for the staff or anyone in the restaurant, we should have been notified instead of being told snarky remarks and given rude stares!! You can't compare 3 and 4 year olds to 7 and 10 year old children, since was you want to talk about the neighboring table. You can defend yourselves as it is your right, but I wont veer from the truth because you have lame excuses. Don't worry we wont be coming...
Read moreBeing my first time dining at Palermo I was expecting an exceptional evening. Mine was the complete opposite. The waiter accidentally spilled my Diet Coke all over me and I do me the entire full glass all over my shirt, my leather slacks and my entire left boot. After I stood up as the soda was rolling off me and using the 2 napkins I then exited to the rest room to get the sticky feeling grim leather slacks and wipe down the rest of me. I return to the table to find all they did was add 3 cloth napkins on top of a very wet table. Needless to say I had a puddle on the floor during the rest of my dinner with my elbows which were wet anyway and Change my chair myself which was still sticky!! Not one apology not one comp for a dessert or anything. My rating is a 2 definitely not a 5 star restaurant.. rude waiter and a staff that needs to learn the correct way to handle a mistake they made ……………yesterday I tried this restaurant again 7/1 we had 3 drinks appetizer my other half had soup I order the special lobster dish which was horrible I ate a few pieces of ziti and one bite of lobster which was very tuff and bothered my stomach we did order dessert that was good! The issue was the Server Albanian woman I asked did u notice my dish was full. She claims she did not ! U would think there job plus we saw another person return the same lobster dish is to check the customers plates to see if there dishes are full or empty. When the bill came I did mention did u notice I did not eat your special lobster can u adjust the bill it’s not that I ate a 1/4 of the food I did not eat it. Her response was well to bad you ordered it!! I said we are spenders and will not be coming back!!! Again her remark was that doesn’t matter… definitely someone you want to represent your business. That’s a joke!!! Food sucked…………my rating is a 1 this time extremely poor manager and when we left the manager a server standing by the door did not look at us… trust me there are to many excellent restaurants to waste your money at food that was not fresh. Thumbs...
