I came here on a Monday looking for a new Italian restaurant and saw Macoletta had pretty good reviews. The restaurant was empty since it was around 2:30 PM. My boyfriend and I were able to pick our table so we went to the far right corner. (The establishment also offers outdoor seating however the weather was too hot.) we had the view of the pizza oven which was very cool. To start my boyfriend and I had the eggplant panini which lacked flavor and was very disappointing. We then shared a margarita pizza which was subpar and also ordered two pasta dishes. I order the Alfredo with chicken and my boyfriend ordered the mushroom Alfredo. When the order arrived they forgot my chicken and despite telling them it was no longer necessary since I was almost halfway done (I was also getting full from all the other food I ordered haha) the waitress insisted and stated it would taste better, thus getting the chicken. The good thing about the chicken they served was it was dark meat since usually I see places serve cutlets. HOWEVER what was highly annoying is that I was charged for the chicken after the staff forgot to add and after being told that I no longer wanted/needed it. My boyfriends pasta tasted very earthy, maybe because of the mushrooms, it certainly wasn’t my cup of tea. The pros of this place have to be their drinks. I can’t remember what I ordered but I do know I got a second round and it was delicious. I could’ve absolutely lived without the Spanish speakers making their sly comments how I was drinking so early in the day. Thanks for the feedback men! Needless to say, I think if you’re looking for authentic Italian food there are WAY better places in Astoria you can check out and have a better experience in.

I had my post wedding dinner here and Bobana was our server. I kid you not, this was the BEST restaurant experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I made the reservation with Georgia and Madrid, everyone was so kind and accommodating. My friend brought bottles of wine and flowers as a surprise and Bobana helped him decorate the table with some of the rose petals from the bouquet! They kept the wedding cake that we brought in chilled until we were ready for dessert. The service itself was impeccable and we just felt so supported by Bobana and the rest of the staff. They allowed us to get photos from our photographer and my wife and I even got a chance to slow dance because they played two songs for us on their speakers. Like…how often do you get that cinematic NYC moment?! The food was excellent as always and I will definitely come back. Thank you Bobana, Georgia, and Madrid for making my life changing day that much more special.

My favorite pizza place in Astoria! I have not had a pizza here I didn't like (and I've had 8 of them). I've come twice during COVID-19 for outdoor dining. The pandemic is definitely messing up some supplies and they've been out of a few ingredients both times I came, but what they do have is on point! My favorite pizza is either the sweet and spicy diablo, or the vegetarian Cara. Or actually maybe it's the prosciutto and burrata pizza. I can't decide, like I said, they're all delicious! The pizzas in my pictures are all the "small" size, which is shareable if you split an appetizer or could be a whole meal for 1. The first time I came, I brought three friends and we split 3 pizzas between the four of us and it was the perfect amount for me. Service here is very friendly and the umbrellas that they have set up for outdoor dining are very strong and sturdy! It was raining when I came once and we managed to stay dry underneath them!

A nice cozy pizzeria that is located in Astoria, they have outdoor sitting with a heater which for the winter is perfect to eat alone or accompanied. I came here with a friend and share a few options of the menu: Octopus Carpaccio: Octopus, Capers, Fresh Parsley, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Lemon Zest, Lemon Dressing. A super simple dish executed perfectly. The octopus was cut in slices extremely thin, plated beautifully, drizzled with delicious olive oil, and topped with the perfect amount of lemon dressing to give it a little kick to obtain an exquisite taste. Diablo - Spicy: San Marzano Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella, Nduja, Spicy Salami, Calabrian Chili, Honey. A pizza made in an oven, the crust was crushing, the mozzarella was super fresh, the sauce of pizza was good, the salami was great and the level of spicy was just perfect, the combination of the ingredients was great to make this pizza so delicious.

I like macoletta, but my last pick-up experience there, was absolutely terrible. Pizza was cold completely burned and with a hole like doughnut on it! I ordered large size half Margherita half eggplant and stracciatella, 1st they forgot to put stracciatella on it, then they put ice-cold stracciatella on a cold pizza, 2nd I make them notice the charcoal burned pizza that they are selling ( almost all the pizzas that night were burned, I know it because I waited for 20 minutes there, the lady making pizza was trying to remove the burned crust in almost all the pizzas coming out from the oven). no words, no sorry, nothing, at minimum they should have replaced my pizza with a fresh one, but nothing, no care for the customer at all. One of the worst pizza experience ever here in Astoria.. I’m sad to say it because I like that place but I will never go back! Addio, la pizza non e’ un gioco e’ una cosa seria!

Came on a Thursday evening as we were walking by we saw the live jazz band playing and decided to stay here for dinner! It was a great choice as we listened to music we stuffed our faces and left satisfied. We got the bucket of beers, had the meatballs which were so tender and yummy. It was my first time trying the pizza with the arugula but it was very tasty not my usual but I did eat 2 slices. One dish here I highly recommend is the mushroom pasta the pics don't do it enough justice. Overall it was a perfect evening with my sister and the music was great. Best part is it's right in my neighborhood so easy to walk to. They do have outdoor and indoor seating, very kid ans pet friendly. Great spot all year round. One thing to mention they are a little pricey but we did try different things and each were delicious. This wasn't my 1st time just 1st review.
