Not sure what to make of this place yet. People say they're Christian as if that means anything. Some of the most arrogant, ignorant folks claim that religion. First time I went was with a friend who was treating me. Had an awesome TrĆØs Leches. Second time I went and ordered in Spanish. Got a nice piece of TL with good amount of milk. Third time I went didn't speak Spanish. Got a piece of TL with lots of milk yet it was old and thick like Sea Moss when I opened it. I was at home so couldn't return it. Going to try once more with the TL and try the Flan. I may update my review depending on what happens.
UPDATE 11/03/23 The 5 for $1 cookies are good, cream puff and flan are very good. Coffee is good AM; avoid it after 12p. It's VERY small so no tables. TAKE OUT ONLY. I'd recommend this as a great neighborhood choice for some good standard baked treats, breakfast and both fresh and grilled sandwiches - if you can ignore the seedier side of the 'hood. This is my community and my folks (LatinX and melanated Aboriginal and/or African descended peoples) so I can see beyond that to the good natured openness which can always be found in our neighborhoods. Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here. I bought a slice of carrot cake and one slice of red velvet to take out. Waited after dinner at home to have them as dessert. One of us said it tasted like mold and the other said it tasted like Windex or other cleaner. Whatever it was, it was in the dough since the frosting tasted fine. Needless to say that we put it in the trash. However, we wonder did someone accidentally spray the cake while cleaning or was it just rotten? It was a great disappointment and we were almost scared to try the carrot cake slice. We gave it a shot and it turned out that it was very good and it helped us recover from the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't express enough good things about this wonderfully, delightful, delicious, clean, well kept lil bakery located in the ā¤ļø of da S. Bronx. I love how they always have gospel music playing on their big screen. It helps so much when you want to, for a sec, escape the hood environment. This space is small but the staff are very welcoming and they always greet everyone with a smile. The long buttered bread (my fave) is to die for. The cookies and pastries are some of the best I've ever tasted and they even have a service for creating any freshly made, yummy, delicious celebrational cakes your Heart desires. We've ordered 2 thus farš
I pledge to 4ever be a loyal customer.
A big ThanknYou to Alllllll the staff that work here! Hola Maribel...
