Disappointed. My senior citizen parents have been loyal customers of this location since it’s opening. They were coming every Wednesday to do their weekly shopping and take advantage of the senior citizen discount offered here. For the past three months they have been homebound because of covid 19 and I’ve been doing their grocery shopping for them. The friendly cashiers and grocery bagger always ask after my parents and extend the senior discount to me as I’ve been shopping for them. I have been super appreciative of the gesture as they can’t come out and every little bit they can save costs wise helps. Today I did their shopping, I asked the cashier there, a woman I didn’t recognize if she could extend the discount to me as I’m shopping for them. She looked at me as if I’m crazy and I asked to speak to the manager. The manager told me she could not and that she got in trouble for it after having done it last week. I asked to speak to her manager and she told me that person was too busy to talk to me. I asked for his name and an email. She told me she didn’t know his name.. after then blurted “Rigo”. How do you not know your bosses name? She had picked up the phone and I assume called “Rigo” and he had no time to talk to me. I’m super disappointed this is how you treat loyal customers. By the by, I dont shop here for my personal needs other than occasional things. I shop at Trader Joe’s. I did come by last Friday. Spent six dollars (!) on a bag of grapes and had to throw them away as they were sour sour sour much like the taste that has been left in my mouth by this...
Read moreThe supermarket just open but it's very good the things are very affordable. But there is not a lot of product from different cultures. And they need more organic stuff for clean eating. Fine Fare is my favorite supermarket to buy groceries for my family and I. I have had a lot of negative experience when it comes to buying groceries. I have even walked to Western Beef to buy groceries, because of there clean and organize environment....
This supermarket environment is very clean and organize this is because of the amazing staff. Hopefully this supermarket continues to provide a clean environment for the community and the groceries we buy from them. Clean environments is very important for many people it does not matter what type of place it's.....
I always observe the beauty of my environment. Sometimes there are things that makes you not like a place you have been , because of the conditions of the environment you have experienced when you visit that place. It could be the inside of any type of buildings or just our outside environment.
This can have both a negative or a positive impact on our abilities to buy or eat at different businesses. Many people inside or outside of the Bronx really do care about our environment . It's amazing when you can fine a clean an organize environment to buy your groceries or anything else...
Read moreAs of September 25TH this location has been charging customers for reusable bags and stating that the bag ban is in effect when in fact the ban does not take effect till October 19TH, 2020. I had notified the cashier as well as the manager that is is indeed a violation of NYS/NYC regulations as per DEC as well as the Supreme Court, and goes against the rulings. I was shrugged off when informing manager of amended rules and regulations. As a result of this injustice and pure robbery of the customers, I have called 311, DEC, and Department of Taxation and Finances and filed a formal complaints against the establishment for such disgraceful ill practices. Do not go by the fliers in which they have posted for the plastic ban has not been enacted and won’t be enacted till October 19TH, 2020. File formal complaints against these thieves, they’ll claim bans in effect and that they have no plastic bags but you’ll see there own employees exit the establishment with “Fine Fare” labeled plastics bags. I will post an image of the bill and regulations along with code for reference. Do not let them fool you, do not let this establishment ruin the neighborhood, for it seems they forgot they would not exist without the community and the funding...
