Im only giving a one star because my waiter was genuinely sorry that our time here was bad. I brought my boyfriend here for the first time thinking it would be memorable for him since he’s never been to one of the Patrizia’s restaurants and to say the least we couldn’t wait to leave and it definitely made it a memorable for him where he doesn’t want to go to any of the patrizia restaurants ever again. We came in and got seated under the speakers where I think I loss some of my hearing. I get it it’s a place that puts music on for the people to have fun while at the restaurant but not to a point where the whole side of where we were sitting people were also complaining about the speakers being too loud and I even ran into a friend there and they even said they couldn’t wait to leave because of how loud and unenjoyable it was. Like it made the night unenjoyable. I also didn’t know weekend menus were different from weekday menus which was weird bc I’ve never heard of that and last time I was there I didn’t see this only option. Nevertheless I asked if I could have some pasta with marinara sauce since I didn’t eat anything from the “minimal options” from the weekend menu and I was told no that I couldn’t order that so I ordered a salad which was soggy and I barely ate it. Our food didn’t come for about 40 minutes. The whole side where I was , there food wasn’t really coming to them at all except for the party side which got there food in no time. I was ready to leave because all the waiters were basically just serving the two party groups that were there. I get it it’s a lively place but take care of all your customers not just the ones with the big party groups. My waiter even asked me if the food was good but by the time my food came I lost my appetite. This place has really changed and it’s sad that I have to write a review like this because I used to love coming here but I won’t be coming back. Thanks to the waiter for trying to take care of us but it really was a bad time and we couldn’t...
Read moreMy husband and I went to dinner earlier today and while the waiter/service was good, management left a lot to be desired. We ordered Burrata as an appetizer and for main course, ensalata Mela with grilled salmon for myself and he ordered Fettuccini Carbonara. While the Burrata and Mela meals were good, the Carbonara meal was flavorless and not what it should be or described. The pasta was overcooked, dish was not creamy at all and there was hardly or any eggs as pert of its preparation. My husband ate literally one bite and said it was terrible (in a low voice to not bring attention) and then tried it a second time before putting to the side. When my husband asked for the check and the waiter came over, he saw that the dish was not touched and asked if everything was ok, which my husband explained that the dish was not to his liking The waiter immediately said if he could take the dish off, which of course is the right thing to do and obviously done in the past by then as he offered right away. He took the dish inside and came back apologizing that the manager did not want to write it off as no one returns the Carbonara Is it not possible that a dish is not cooked properly one time?, and while the waiter was accommodating and nice; why does a "manager" does not manage and approaches the table to see what is wrong or what can be done to remedy the problem. The waiter apologized a few times and said we had to pay, which of course we did. The 1 star is not for the 2 eaten dishes nor about the service, nor is it about a bad cooked meal (it happens to the best of restaurants); but a reflection of poor hospitality by its management. Maybe the Manager is somebody starting in the business or not properly trained, but their response to a simple problem and/or solution left much to be desired or...
Read moreIf I could give this horrific restaurant negative stars I would. After my experience tonight I intend on telling every person I meet going forward NOT to ever even think about going to this location. I booked a reservation for 8PM on OpenTable at around 6PM. When my friend and I arrived at the restaurant we had to push past a crowd of people all waiting in the screened in “porch” area outside the door. I assumed they didn’t have reservations and were waiting to be seated. I went ahead of everybody and gave my name to the only hostess working. She told me that it would be a bit of a wait even though I had a reservation but as soon as a table for two opened up we would be seated. After 15 minutes of being crammed into this small space with tons of other people we came to discover all of the people waiting had reservations and some of them had been waiting for over an hour for their reservation. It was now 8:20 and I asked the hostess if she could tell me if I would be waiting 5 minutes more or 30 minutes because I already wasn’t happy that a reservation was so useless to this restaurant but I didn’t want to wait another 30-50 minutes when I could of been eating by now at another restaurant that actually respects their customers time. The hostess REFUSED to give me an answer and finally said it could be anywhere from 30-90 minutes wait. So my 8PM reservation means I would be eating at 10PM possibly. I walked out and booked another restaurant nearby that took us in immediately. I love Patrizias in Red Bank, N.J and wanted to try the Brooklyn location because I assumed the food and service would be just as good, however because the restaurant over booked their reservations I didn’t even get a chance to eat their food. Beware that if you make a reservation here you still may end up...
