Not for Mio highly over-rated short: cold service, cold food, hot prices long: I was asking around for recommendations for a Hispanic restaurant to take my family members for a birthday lunch. This place was highly recommended by a coworker. The location itself is a massive, wide, open space, which seems great for events. It was after the second visit that I realized it actually looks like a car dealership went out of business, paint the walls, add tables and chairs, and overall, a smart conversion if that's the case. The second thing I noticed is how little the servers give a sh1t. They do the bare minimum. First visit:

The first time, yes, there, unfortunately, was a second time. We had the following: camarones cuzco; ceviche; and el matador. My mother was very unsatisfied with the ceviche; the camarones cuzco would have been okay at a much lower price it was substandard and cold; matador was visually impressive the size of it but it's definitely quantity over quality. The second time, I was invited by a group of coworkers. It was a surprise. I enjoyed their company. The waiter didn't even leave a menu for her. I had to walk back to the entrance to get it myself. I had the jalea, a very dry, unflavorful dish that looked like food scraps. I asked the waiter for sauce because it was so dry and he was adamant that they didn't have any sauce, even though later on the party next to our table was brought a container with sauce. My coworker got the camarones cuzco, same as the first time. Our friend got the filet mignon dish which consisted mainly of fries. I don't like posting negative reviews so I didn't post it after the first visit. I'm doing this more for me to remind me to be firm and decline any future invitations to this place. One positive: the sangria tastes great.
