Roma View Catering — Restaurant in New York

We had our daughter's 16th birthday celebration here in September. It was amazing! The staff was excellent and the food was great. Our initial concerns were about the quality of the food, the maintenance of the venue and parking. We did not have an opportunity to test the food beforehand, but we were not disappointed. As a Caribbean family, we requested the addition of rice and peas and jerk chicken - both were done well. The jerk chicken was not dry and the rice and peas was done exactly how I like it. The Italian fares were great as well. We had the sole oreganata and alfredo among other options. I don't think every venue can do alfredo and fish to my liking and was hesitant to choose these options, but this spot did a great job.

From the moment I called to request information, I was pleasantly greeted and was pleased with all of the staff members we dealt with - from the front desk to the persons who assisted us in putting the event together and executing it on the day of, I cannot complain. Lori was patient with us as we called her several times a day as the event drew closer and Robert did not drop the ball at all on the day of the event. We loved the view of Jamaica Bay, that the hall did not have old and stale carpeting, that it wasn't mirrored all over, valet parking was available, and the bathroom on the first floor was well kept with attendants (the bathroom downstairs is a dated). The kids loved the faux flower wall outside. Roma View also had a very reasonable price for a birthday party. They were affordable compared to some of the other places we contacted which weren't even as nice and which had a reputation for bad food. We had the biggest room with approximately 130 guests. While it was comfortable, I cannot imagine having more than 150 people in this room and still having a dance floor. I think it would be way too tight. My daughter had the time of her life and our guests complimented us all night. I highly recommend Roma View. Thank you Lori and Robert for making this night one...

My friend was hosting a 75th year surprise birthday party for her dad. She envited me and my brother almost 6 months prior and confirm that we would be attending. I've never been to displace before, drove by it million times so I knew exactly where it was. We arrived for the event on time. we were greeted at the door by the matrons. the ushers quickly a directed and informed us to take our name tags and confirm our table assignment. check our coats then showed us where the bathroom was and stuff like that.

shortly after we were seated, the service came out and was offering us beers and wine to start off the evening. Quickly followed by an assortment of appetizers. the service; I thought was brisk. The Minute they bought stuff out they took stuff away. The night went on as they continued with the service. Then we had our main course as before it was delivered and then shortly after was cleared up. followed by the dessert. we sang Happy Birthday made a few announcement and a few quick speeches. As we continue to bond eat cake and make lasting memories.

We had the medium size Room I'm not sure but the place was lovely, well appointed with clean bathrooms . the staff was a bit off I would say, particularly one guy who was walking around with his shoelaces untied. I liked the place the food was OK. I had the Salmon, a nice portion. The option of salmon was a good look. would i go back? Yes i would. Maybe even host an vent. I hosted my sister's baby shower at Roma View. I had such a wonderful time working with them. Roma View's staff is made up of collaborative hard workers who are accommodating and kind.

Giovanna was my primary Banquet Consultant and she was so organized, helpful, and enthusiastic. She helped me plan my party accordingly and always followed up when necessary. She is amazing and I would love to work with her again.

Angela was my Maitre D on the day of my event. She welcomed my boyfriend, friends, and I on the morning of, and helped us set the room up. I was pretty stressed and tense before the event. I am sure she was able to sense that because she was so reassuring and kind to me. She always checked in with me and questioned if I was okay, or if I needed assistance with anything.

As my party's timeframe drew closer, a small business that I worked with fell through and did not provide me with a rental that I had paid for. Angela quickly stood up for me and defended me against the small business, putting them in their place.

Roma View's staff members treat you and welcome you as if you are family. They truly stand by that vision. I am so lucky that I was given the opportunity to work with them. They are so wonderful and I would highly recommend hosting events at their venue because of their values.
