Mistaken and disrespectful
I am extremely disappointed in how this Starbucks operates and can’t believe of the disrespect I felt today. I walked into a Starbucks, one I have gone into a several times a week over the course of a month. I ordered my usual drink, iced caramel macchiato with almond milk and handed over my reusable cup. The cashier tells me that they are out of caramel syrup, so ask if they can add the white mocha one instead, she says yes and rings me up. As I am waiting for my drink I see that they have poured whole milk into my coffee. I asked one of the associates which milk was added, and she says im not sure, regular. I stated I could not drink regular milk, and I always ordered almond milk. A barista who I have seen make my drink many times before, nodded and said yes she does. She proceeded to pour out the drink and correct it. Then from the register, a woman begins to yell at me to come pay for the milk, I have to be charged for more items. I walk up to her and I asked what I being charged for. She stated that I didn’t tell her I wanted to almond milk, so to change my milk that it will cost 87 cents more. Confused, I tell her that she wasn’t the one who rung me up but the young woman now making sandwiches was. I tell her I order the same thing every day because of my dietary restrictions, and the barista nodded as she is usually the one who makes it. This statement must have annoyed the cashier, as she then raised her tone and informed me that she was the supervisor. I asked her what that had to do with being charged again for someone else’s mistake, and why I had to suffer for it. She then became very short and told me I had to do it, because she was the supervisor. I told her I felt that it is poor customer service and then asked for her name. She said Natalia and that she was the one in charge right now. I asked her where I could find her store manager and she responded with an attitude, “ Henry ain’t here” I said thank you, collected my coffee and left.
I am so sad that the a Starbucks I was once so happy was available had treated me so poorly today. Receipts on request only so no verification, but I asked for one after being charged again. Just the attitude and unprofessionalism shown from Natalia should make Starbucks ashamed for putting someone with such poor customer service skills in charge. How can someone to be so rude and nasty, when all a person wants is their morning cup of joe? Mornings are hard enough and a begrudged employee...
Read moreAs an avid coffee lover, I had high hopes when I entered Starbucks, expecting a premium coffee experience. However, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed and underwhelmed.
First and foremost, the quality of the coffee at Starbucks did not live up to its reputation. The drink I ordered lacked the rich and robust flavor that I associate with a well-crafted cup of coffee. It tasted watered down and lacked the depth and complexity I was expecting. It seemed as though the focus was more on speed and consistency rather than delivering an exceptional coffee experience.
Moreover, the pricing at Starbucks is exorbitant, especially considering the underwhelming quality of the drinks. I understand that Starbucks positions itself as a premium brand, but the steep prices should be justified by the taste and quality of the coffee. Unfortunately, in my experience, the prices did not align with the value provided.
The atmosphere in Starbucks also left much to be desired. The noise level was consistently high, making it difficult to have a conversation or find a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy my drink. Additionally, the seating options were often limited, with many tables occupied or reserved for extended periods of time, further detracting from the overall experience.
The customer service at Starbucks was average at best. The staff seemed more focused on efficiency and getting through the orders quickly, rather than providing personalized and attentive service. There was a lack of warmth and genuine hospitality, which added to the overall disappointment.
Lastly, Starbucks promotes a variety of food options, but the quality and taste of the offerings were underwhelming. The pastries and snacks lacked freshness and were often dry or stale. The limited selection and uninspiring flavors were a letdown.
In conclusion, my experience at Starbucks was disappointing. The coffee lacked flavor and depth, the pricing was steep for the quality provided, and the overall atmosphere and customer service fell short of expectations. With so many other top tier options available for coffee lovers in this area of the Bronx, I would hesitate to recommend Starbucks as a go-to destination for an exceptional coffee experience.

Read moreI have been coming to this Starbucks location for the past 4 years, about 2-3 per week. This particular Starbucks (as do “all” Starbucks) has a morning rush and other peak hours during the day. However, there seems to be no particular form of organization or structure to the employees method of getting out orders at this particular Starbucks. On various occasions, I have parked and went inside to pick up my mobile order (usually made 15 mins prior to a 5 minute drive). I tend to do this when the drive-thru line is too long and will slow down my journey to work. I have been able to make out one person stationed to handle bakery/breakfast items and other foods, and 1-2 employees stationed to make and/or send out drive-thru orders. As for the rest of the employees there seems to be a lot of scattered running around and across various stations. I’ve tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt for a long time. There should be someone specifically designation to clear out mobile orders and then another sending out orders completed in store. Or turn the pick-up shelf to face the customers. People who are picking up fulfilled orders should not be standing there waiting for someone to attend to the mobile order station for 30 minutes! I should not have to constantly try to get the attention of employees to the point of grabbing my coffee from behind the pick-up shelf myself. This indicates that any else can do the same and accidentally (or intentionally) pick up someone else’s items. I say this because, unlike other Starbucks, the shelf is placed in a manner facing employees only, in a way only employees can grab. Since I am familiar with other locations, I am considering not coming back here. This has become an...
