Overall: I think it has the potentional for 5-stars. There was a private event going on in the restaurant and the kitchen and staff clearly cannot handle the volume. My overall experience wasn't bad. I actually enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibes. The food was good, despite the wait, and their descriptions on the menu were spot on. Shout out to the bartenders...i think that their heavy pours and fast delivery made it a lot more bearable. I would definitely return but for lunch or an early dinner. I suggest take-out for a late dinner. The staff was friendly and accommodated things, when you actually saw them.
Atmosphere: The music is waaay too loud. Although it was a vibe, the space is too tight for club volume music IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM. The DJ had a setup which occupied way too much space. I dont understand why he had 3 large screen tvs and 2 speakers in addition to mixing station in the dinning room space the size of McDonalds. I couldn't hear the people at my table; we were yelling the entire time in an attempt to engage the person across from you. I actually heard a party say it was too loud and decided to eat elsewhere.
Service: My party of 4 arrived a little after 8p and waited almost an hour to be seated (normal stuff). The hostess explained that there would be a wait to order after being seated (note to self... always ask how long). We said ok, not knowing it would be another hour to actually order. The only appetizer made it to the table about 30 mins after we ordered. The main course followed about 15 mins later. In total we waited almost 1.5 hours for our meal after placing the order. Two tables that sat down after us had their food and left b4 we even got our meal. The lights turned on at 11pm while the restaurant started cleaning up and the DJ too. We felt pressured to eat quickly and get out of their way. I tried to express to the hostess that the sequence of events is not ok or good for biz. She kept saying "but i told you b4 you sat down... that's why i seated you and offered you to order drinks while you wait" as if getting me tipsy was an acceptable solution for my empty stomach. We also asked for the manager whom NEVER showed up.
Food: The food has hit or miss moments but I have no real complaints. The specialty drinks were good. The corn arepa and beef appetizer was delicious. We yammed it down quickly and then waited another 15 mins for the main course. The portion size of our meals was a good. My lechon was tender but lacking flavor, maybe a little salt or adobo (no salt/pepper on the tables and the server was MIA). His ropa vieja with black beans and rice was yummy (we enjoyed the beef overall). I did not get any feedback from the others. Like i said, no real complaints.
Pricing: Fair for the portion size. Drinks were poured heavier (yay) than you'd expect at a restaurant and the price...
Read moreI usually come here for the buffet (5 stars always!), And the the dollor store. Usually I love the dollor store. Been coming for as long as I can remember. Still now I moved to Brooklyn and I will still prefer this dollor store to all the rest. Until this most recent visit. I walk in get greeted by one of the employees and go on my merry little happy way. Run into one of the employees who always makes our visit have that little extra. So far this is 5 star rating right? Right! Until I go to pay. My cashiers name was shammika 5/15/19 @ 8:35pm . Now shammika was finishing up with another customer when I came to the line. She took a look at me and walked away to have a conversation with other employees by the doorway. I start putting my stuff on the counter and a couple minutes pass and she is still not back. So I look over as to get her attention. She returns with an attitude saying What is this?! I looked at her to process if this was real or not. It was, and she continued I'm closed! She continued with a loud attitude. So I simply said I was here you didnt say anything. She continued with well no one was here! I'm in disbelief at this point, like yes you were. So when she realized I wasn't going to leave she started scanning my items. While scanning she adds well now I have to pee really bad it hurts! But where was this pain when she was chatting it up with her friends? Now I wasnt the type to complain too much but how does one like this not get complained about on a daily basis. It's as if she doesnt want to work. So dollor tree dont take the 3 stars personal. You guys deserve 5 stars its employees like shammika...
Read moreThe pizza is absolutely delicious here, I truly enjoy how it’s made and of course the way it taste. However, I am writing this review because my mother received horrible customer service from a woman by the name of (Tracy or Trinity). She was extreme rude and unprofessional. To the point that I felt the need to call back and speak with a manager and even leave this review because of the experience we had with her. When asked to verify her name she was unclear; please excuse the error of presenting her name.
My mother called around 2 pm on a Saturday 1/12/23, and the woman who answered the phone was unnecessarily rude and had absolutely zero customer service skills. Because of this horrible interaction I asked to speak with a manager and she proceeded to tell me he was unavailable and wasn’t sure when he would be present in the shop. As a new pizza shop in the community I have lived in for years, I believe the person who answers the phone to receive customer’s order should be friendly and level headed. This person was neither, or she at least didn’t show herself to be so during this engagement.
Good business thrives on great customer service. Unfortunately we experienced sub standard customer service. She was testy, impatient, impolite, and lacked basic manners. Again, great pizza! Seriously! But, no customer should be treated the way she...
