I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Chinese buffet, and I must say it was quite an experience. The establishment garnered a range of opinions from customers, and here's my take on it.
Upon arriving, I was pleased to find attentive and friendly customer service, which set a positive tone for the evening. The seating area, while slightly cramped, became busier as the evening progressed, indicating its popularity among diners.
One standout moment was when a server surprised our table with a generous portion of whole lobster, a delightful touch that showcased the staff's willingness to go the extra mile. The overall cleanliness of the place, including the bathrooms, added to the pleasant dining environment.
The buffet's array of options was impressive, spanning around 4 to 5 rows of dishes. While predominantly Chinese cuisine, the variety encompassed other cuisines as well, ensuring there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the well-seasoned Chinese dishes and the addition of sushi to the spread.
The dessert section was decent, with the cheesecake standing out as a personal favorite. Although I was eager to explore more, my stomach's capacity reached its limit. The inclusion of ice cream in the freezer added a magical touch to the culinary adventure.
While the restaurant had its strengths, it's worth noting that service had its moments of inconsistency, as mentioned in one of the reviews. Nonetheless, the balance of good food and reasonable prices made it a worthwhile experience. During the week, the $14 price tag was a steal, offering good value for the variety of food available. However, weekends saw a slightly steeper price of $26, which might be a consideration for those looking to visit during peak times.
In conclusion, my experience at the Chinese buffet was satisfactory. With an impressive selection of dishes, varying in quality, and a cozy atmosphere, it's a dining spot that caters to a diverse range of tastes. Whether you're craving authentic Chinese flavors or simply seeking a satisfying buffet adventure, this place is...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite Chinese buffet to dine. The sign read 24.99 per person in bold letters which is very reasonable. I sat for two and was asked our drinks selection. We didn’t receive our drinks until 30 minutes later. We both requested for ice -t Which was very odd because the place wasn’t busy at all. The food selections are very few which I am used to but was very shocked at the food quality. The seafood uncleaned. The meat selection was horrible you could see how raw the food was. I was shocked and mortified but didn’t complain. I just ate white rice and string beans with mushrooms to not let money go to waste. My boyfriend didn’t eat not a single item here once he saw the conditions of the food. He requested for the bill and was shocked that the bill was $74.98 I thought it might have been an error so I said let’s go to the front to ask. The servers made a scene suggesting we were walking out without paying. The reasoning of not just speaking to the servers directly was because they didn’t speak English and I don’t mean that in an offensive way. We went up to the owners and he questioned the bill and there is a gratitude requirement of 15$. Let’s break this down 24.99x2=49.98 and let’s just add 10$ for tax that would be 59.98. Then required to pay mandatory 15$ for gratitude which is listed in the fine print before you enter the Chinese buffet, which unfortunately didn’t see and never had to pay that before. I used to love this place but after yesterday 1/19/24 I will never step foot into this place or recommend at all. I’m all up for tipping I tip well every where I go. I just think the general public understands when you go to the Chinese buffet for two why are we obligated to pay 15$ for picking our own food on top of paying the set fee to get in. This has gone...
Read moreI came here with my friends and me and my other friend got sick after eating the food here. During our stay here some of the food items felt and tasted like they weren’t cooked properly such as the fried chicken and sesame chicken, so I didn’t eat as much and got sick for about a few hours. However my other friend who ate much more than me was sick for about 4 days after. All symptoms of food poisoning were present during that time. He had not eaten any food the entire day of, or anything the night before in anticipation of the buffet so nothing else is to blame here. I can verify this because we live together.
While we were eating here the staff were eyeing and watching us and other groups the entire duration of our visit, sometimes literally about 3-4 of them standing just feet away from our table and talking among themselves just watching everyone. Sometime after they brought 2 lobsters and gave them to our table for free. I don’t eat seafood so only they ate it. My only question and concern is why give something that is supposed to be an expensive delicacy away for free if something wasn’t wrong with it? Its better to throw things in the trash than to give people bad food just because you don’t want to waste it.
Needless to say we won’t ever be coming back here. And this only reinforces and reminds me to just stop being lazy and make my own food because at least then it’s made with care and cleanliness.
Shame on these people for dropping so low from the good food they used to serve many many years ago back...
