Ham & Cheese Hawaiian Burger Berry Ticker
Appearance: 8/10 Taste: 9.6/10
Located in Spanish Harlem is a locally owned bodega.
Owner Smashiess introduced me to a few of the most popular menu items.
Ham & Cheese: This hot pressed viral sandwich is a master piece.
It’s smashed and served on a roll.
If you like ham & cheese, you are going to love what’s next.
Hawaiian Burger: The primary ingredients in this specialty burger are ham, cheese, and pineapple served on a sesame seed bun.
It may have a blue collar appearance, but the taste was white collar all the way.
Berry Ticker: To finish the meal, I sipped a refreshing smoothie that was freshly blended with banana, blueberry, and strawberry.
It was ”berry” tasty.
The Dining area is limited, so I recommend taking your order to-go.
If you have a voracious appetitie, join the Smashiess Challenge. If you finish a 16 ounce burger in five minutes or less, you will be awarded a t-shirt, your photo will be posted on the store Wall of Fame as well as social media, and you will receive a full refund for the meal.
This location may be a hole in the wall, but all three menu items I explored were outstanding.

Totally no frills, ham, cheese, mayo, mustard. You can get it hot or cold, I went with hot and that was the right choice.
Guy was very kind and friendly, sandwiches were fast. And hit the spot especially for $1.
This is actually my second attempt at trying these ham and cheeses. The first time the shop was closed for whatever reason..... and if that happens to you, try the tent selling tacos down towards 2nd. That place was amazing.
Smashiess is staying on my map, and i wanna try other things from the menu. And if I miss them, then that taco tent is a solid...
Read moreThis is one of the few places in my neighborhood that goes way back to my childhood. I remember going into Smashiess as a kid, short on money, and walking out with a freshly made, hot-pressed signature sandwich. It's National Smashiess Month, and it's great to still have the owner as a friend to this day. In our neighborhood, a lot of familiar things are disappearing day by day, so it's good to see stores like Smashiess still thriving. So, go out and support your...
