Sonbobs is a quaint and cozy little cafe nestled in the heart of residential 28th avenue in Astoria, equally accessible by the 30th avenue and Astoria Blvd train stations. Mismatched cozy seating with just a couple tables inside, you can also sit outside on the sidewalk and staff are happy to accommodate more outdoor seating if you ask. Excellent coffee from Porto Rico Roasting is served for hot coffee iced coffee (with or without coffee cubes!) and espresso drinks, and they also have organic loose tees for hot and iced, plus many breakfast and lunch options including their signature sandwich on toasted garlic bread, fresh baked cookies, muffins and cupcakes daily. I love Sonbobs! Sonny (goes like Johnny) is wonderful, welcoming, and whimsical, as is her shop: the perfect home for all oddities and curiosities to live together. Sonbobs stocks a greater variety of teas than many other places in the area, and of higher quality; I've not yet had the coffee because I'm too happy exploring the tea variety 😉 There's also plenty of food offerings -- most (if not all?) made in house; and I've witnessed/enjoyed the smell of baking on site! I'm also looking forward to the Open Mic this upcoming Wednesday night...this is the café I've been looking for. 🦄💜...

An absolute gem. Small cozy little cafe that has everything you could need for a midday break from your office work/desk job.

The space is eclectic, colorful and has so much personality - think “whozits and whatzits galore.” Not to mention merch, candles and trinkets!

People seems to rave about the baked goods, so I went ahead and got the orange cupcake w orange buttercream and omg - I ate it like an overexcited messy child.

Definitely recommend - also, the owner is super sweet!! Stop by and support...
