I frequent the area daily due to my mother residing in the area. Each time I enter this Starbucks location is I have to wait 5 to 8 minutes, no line, only one at the register, just to have zero employees give any impression of acknowledgement that a customer has entered its doors and is welcomed. Today I had no patience to be insulted once again. There's 3 employees behind the bar and they all turn their backs and knowing I'm there because they heard the door, they intentionally avoided eye contact. My reviews intention is for management to redirect their employees and review Starbucks mission statement and experience its supposed to offer. A simple acknowledgement, someone will be right with you is all any customer at any business can expect. Only on Saturdays do I see a staff that's motivated and smiling.. I just turned around and left. It's owed to our neighborhood to represent a sociable and personable spirit and instead this location is granting negative stereotypes of our heights culture. We're supposed to be number one not a hole in the wall serving an overpriced café. Let's upgrade! Let's not...
Read moreHas nothing to do with the delicacies and the splendor of coffee's aroma, rather with the service provide to the Washington Heights community, where the great majority is mostly Hispanic and there is a great percentage of elders in the community around this particular store location, whose manager is rude and discriminate, makes distinctions and has open favoritism for certain ethnicities. This person lacks respect for Hispanic population and it happens to be that i have being around to intervine helping hispanic elders by translating for them in asking what they desire to purchase in the Starbucks store. I have seeing costumers being disrespected and yell at, and i have being a victim of that open discrimination in that particular store of 181 street and Fort Washington. Formal complaints has being brought up to the attention of the district manager and nothing has being done to resolute the situation with this "so called manager" Suggestion: there has to be a more critical selection before you hire staff and mostly giving a title such as "manager" to someone that lacks...
Read morecertainly starbucks sandwiches are mediocre at best. i would suggest going to the deli a couple of door down to get a real meal. Also NO BATHROOM. This is not new. For a a number of years now, they have not offered one at this location. And now this seems to be the norm. At Dyckman and Bwy - no bathroom!. 145th (close too boy) - no bathroom. HECK! I am not going to put up with this any more!. A very large coffee for close to 5 bucks (easily a 1000 percent mark up) and no place to pee it out??? That does not work for me. So if you lost the genetic lottery like moi with a small bladder, you are basically out of luck of relieving yourself at an increasing number of starbucks!! Not sure why this is the case. I actually called Starbucks and spoke to a manager who said he was " not allowed to discuss the details". Could be the water bill?? In that case perhaps they could invest in those -low water use toilets. I think they can afford to do so! Howard Shultz (the owner and major shareholder is worth...
