Did you know that the United Palace in Washington Heights, NYC hosts FREE movie nights?!? Yesterday, I had the opportunity to see the screening of iconic film “The Devil wears Prada” along with a talkback session ft. Meryl Streep & Lin-Manuel Miranda. It was such an incredible experience & I would highly recommend getting tickets for a future movie screening on the United Palace website :) Follow for more nyc reccs! #travelwithseher #nyc #explore #thingstodoinnyc #explorenewyorkcity #travel #unitedpalace #moviesatthepalace #moviescreenjng #thedevilwearsprada #merylstreep #linmanuelmiranda #washingtonheights

This place used to be nice and was absolutely amazing. The concert was beautiful. The dominican american children in the band were extremely talented. They deserve more recognition and praise. I have been to this venue many times and had a wonderful time. That being said , the last time I came here (for the crackalakin event) it was a horrible experience full of violent, rude, predators within staff and perhaps the audience. I would very much like to return but this experience has me weary. A security officer assaulted and violated me claiming that I should leave while I was attempting to complain about an issue to the manager - he pushed me out of the venue and gave me several bruises. My guest was worried and horrified. Someone was also recording a very aggressive yelling woman who claimed to be dominican and falsely claimed to be a police officer in my face berating me. Additionally, staff stole my mother's jewelry that my father gave her in dominican republic (a broach of gold) and left me indecent with my breasts showing and my bra - sexually assaulting me. I made several police reports and called 911. That piece was very sentimental to both my mother and I because my father gave her this brooch in the dominican republic. We would like the item back. It has extreme sentimental value and ethnic pride. I didn't think these people were like this but some of the the neighborhood citizens seem to be absolute thieves and be taking advantage of others in the neighborhood. They complain in mass about irrelevant garbage as if they in a communist country - like they complain about private drinking (which is a right as long as one isn't being disruptive) and dancing in the square to orchestrated salsa music. Most of the neighborhood members were very friendly however there were quite a few that were absolutely insane, violent, and aggressive for no apparent reason. I included a bruise from the man that assaulted me in the place who claimed to be security. As a half dominican I am appalled. The neighborhood seemed to be nice but these people weren't. I prefer going to Dominican Republican than here. The man that sexually assaulted me and helped to steal the jewelry is pictured below. I was told by security that the owner would allow me back in if I sat with my disabled family member "in the back" and kept quiet. I agreed and then was told the manager changed his/her mind in retaliation because I "falsely claimed" that the security has manhandled me. May there be less hate and more peace. 🙏 The security said if I need to speak to the manager he/she was outside but it seemed absolutely no one was there and the manager was hiding from the ordeal. Hopefully the manager of this specific event won't be so scared of comforting issues within his venue and will (as a professional) speak to me sometime about this experience and how to rectify it. 😇

Here's my review of the United Palace as the best place for art and entertainment in NYC: *A Hidden beauty in Upper Manhattan* Tucked away in the heart of Washington Heights, the United Palace is a stunning example of spiritual artistry and a must-visit destination for art and entertainment enthusiasts in NYC. This magnificent building, once a vaudeville theater and later a church, has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub that showcases the best of art, music, and performance. *Architectural Marvel* The United Palace's stunning architecture is a work of art in itself. The ornate details, sweeping arches, and majestic pipe organ make it a breathtakingly beautiful space that inspires awe and wonder. *Diverse Programming* From classical music concerts to avant-garde theater productions, the United Palace offers an incredibly diverse range of programming that caters to all tastes and interests. The venue is committed to showcasing local and international artists, making it a true gem for art lovers. *Spiritual Significance* The United Palace is more than just a performance venue - it's a spiritual hub that fosters a sense of community and connection. The building's history and architecture are deeply rooted in spirituality, making it a unique and enriching experience for visitors. *Best Place for Art and Entertainment in NYC* In conclusion, the United Palace is the best place for art and entertainment in NYC. Its stunning architecture, diverse programming, and spiritual significance make it a one-of-a-kind destination that inspires, uplifts, and entertains. Whether you're an art aficionado, a music lover, or simply looking for a unique experience, the United Palace is a must-visit destination in NYC.

A Stellar Performance Dimmed by Ticketing Troubles Attending Authentic Flamenco Presents Amador Rojas was an experience of unmatched brilliance, a performance that left its audience spellbound and enraptured. From the mesmerizing stage presence to the impeccable execution of every note and movement, it was an evening that promised to be unforgettable. Unfortunately, what should have been a seamless and luxurious affair was marred by a ticketing incident that left a bitter taste and it's disheartening to walk away with memories tainted by frustration and disappointment. Having purchased two VIP tickets with anticipation and excitement, my guest and I eagerly awaited the momentous occasion. However, upon arrival, we were disheartened to discover that the tickets, though bought together, had been allocated separately, consigning us to a distant balcony seat. With no recourse but to make the best of an unfortunate situation, we found ourselves relying on the zoom lens of the cell phone to catch glimpses of the spectacle unfolding below. The lack of a contingency plan for such an oversight was glaringly apparent, particularly in an industry that prides itself on attention to detail and customer satisfaction. As someone familiar with event management, I found it disconcerting that there was no proactive solution in place to rectify such errors swiftly and efficiently. What compounded the frustration was the subsequent handling of the situation. Despite our polite request for a refund, we were met with resistance and uncertainty. It was disheartening to find ourselves in a predicament where we had to choose between enduring a subpar experience or forfeiting our investment altogether. The absence of a guaranteed refund policy only exacerbated the sense of disappointment and disillusionment. Despite the ticketing woes, I still wholeheartedly recommend experiencing the performance of [Event Name]. Its sheer brilliance and captivating allure are not to be missed by any aficionado of the arts. However, I implore future attendees to exercise caution and diligence when purchasing tickets through the FEVER site. While the allure of convenience and accessibility may be tempting, it's essential to scrutinize the fine print and terms of service with meticulous attention. In doing so, patrons can better safeguard themselves against the potential pitfalls and frustrations that may arise from unforeseen ticketing...

Stepping into the iconic United Palace in New York City to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" was not just a movie night; it was a magical journey into the heart of classic cinema.

The United Palace, with its grand architecture and historic charm, provided the perfect backdrop for the timeless tale of George Bailey. The moment I entered the ornate theater, I was transported to an era of glamour and cinematic splendor.

The screening of "It's A Wonderful Life" at United Palace was a celebration of the holiday season, and the atmosphere was filled with warmth and anticipation. The staff's attention to detail, from the vintage decor to the festive ambiance, added to the overall enchantment of the evening.

As the lights dimmed and the movie began, the giant screen showcased the beauty of this cinematic masterpiece in all its glory. The crystal-clear audio and picture quality heightened the emotional impact of every scene, capturing the essence of George Bailey's journey in a way that felt both nostalgic and fresh.

What truly set this experience apart was the communal spirit in the audience. Laughter, gasps, and applause echoed through the theater as we collectively shared the joys and tribulations of George Bailey's life. It was more than a movie; it was a shared experience that brought strangers together in the spirit of holiday cheer.

The United Palace's commitment to preserving the magic of classic cinema was evident in every frame of "It's A Wonderful Life." The sense of community, the stunning venue, and the sheer beauty of this cinematic gem created an unforgettable evening that will be etched in my memory for years to come.

If you're a fan of classic films and want to experience the magic of the silver screen in all its glory, catching a movie at the United Palace is an absolute must. It's not just a theater; it's a time-traveling adventure that brings the golden age of cinema to life. I can't wait to return for more enchanting evenings at this cinematic treasure in the heart of...
