Stella's Coffee Shop — Restaurant in New York

I had stopped ordering from here for a few years as the food quality went down and the food really wasn't fresh. Today I decided to order from them via Uber Eats to see if they has possibly improved. I was SO wrong. I ordered a pancake platter with bacon only topped with strawberries and bananas. As a side I ordered a Croissant.

The pancakes had no flavor and were actually hard and dry. Like, who makes a HARD pancake? How does it happen? They were absolutely terrible. The strawberries were not edible as they were old and sour. The sliced banana was OK but you could tell they were getting super ripe and parts were brown. Even my dog, who eats ANYTHING, refused the strawberries and banana! Imagine that!

Finally the croissant was as HARD as a door! Why would you even serve/deliver something so stale and be OK with that? I mean come on, if you they aren't remotely fresh, just don't provide it or substitute it.

All in all, it was a waste of money and a reminder to never order from here again.

Seriously, if you want to suport local business, order breakfast from Victor's Coffee Shop or Jason's Deli. They hit every time and their food is always fresh.

I literally have NO idea how they are still in business. Do better...

Very unprofessional establishment. I ordered a beacon egg & cheese but received a egg & cheese sandwich. When I called the store to see what the mix up was . Someone came on the phone & expressed that there is an issue with the pricing for a beacon egg & cheese sandwich on Ubereats, which as the customer i am not aware of. I stated to the employee that I understand the issue but that is not my fault because I was not aware the different pricing & should be issued a new sandwich or atleast the beacon , which I was under impression I was receiving. She remained silence & the. stated they will not be sending me a new sandwich or the side of beacon. I felt the issue with pricing on Ubereats & the store is not my fault so I should of been penalized for it. There was no concern for my issue or even an effort to rectify it. Horrible customer service...

Ordered food, had first taste of it, the home fries, to realize they were old and rotten. My husband tried them and verified they had gone bad, the smell was disgusting. Clearly old batch taken out from a fridge and microwaved. Immediately sent the complete untouched dish back and let them know to throw that batch of home fries out. At the time we got the check, we were charged for the dish. When I asked it get removed from check, the server said some crazy thing along the lines of "sometimes when people don't like the dish they might make up that something is spoiled to send it back so we still charge in case that is the reason you sent it back". We obviously didn't pay for it since 99.9% of the dish was not consumed. Great morning ruined having to argue about something so obvious. Terrible customer service,...
