Strauss Bakery — Restaurant in New York

Customer service is good. They will get things done for you and make you priority. Unfortunately I had a problem with my wedding cake. I asked for a two tier buttercream cake. The cake looked beautiful but there was barely any cake. Mostly whipped cream. Cake did not taste good. The frosting tasted like chemicals and bad quality. I regret buying this cake from here. I would not recommend to anyone if you want your cake to taste good. The cake did not even taste like buttercream. Whoever tasted the cake at wedding did not want to take another bite. I felt so embarrassed. Not worth 225$. A Costco cake would have tasted better...

Terribly run business. The owner relies on using UBER POOL to make his business deliveries... anyone that knows how UBER POOL works knows that they do not deliver to the exact address.

This leaves the driver with a car full of deliveries and a costumer that expects a delivery to their doorstep.

EVEN WORSE - the other paying customers in the Uber Pool were delayed 20+ minutes. I would know because I am one of these other passengers.

They owner called and begged for a delivery to a different address. Truly pathetic when a business has to be this cheap and inconsiderate to protect...

Made a large order for my son’s Bar Mitzvah and was very disappointed with the order. The Challah came burnt to a crisp, dry and an embarrassment in front of all the guests. Everyone recommended to order from L'esti's Desserts, but decided to order from Strauss instead due to their friendly customer service, but wish I didn’t.

The big chess cake themed case not very impressive either, but the true disappointment of all was the challah.

The prices at Strauss and L'esti's Desserts are very similar, so do yourself a favor and go...
