We were one of the first patrons when it turned into a bar, not many people inside yet very casual still and I ordered 2 shots and 2 drinks. My friends and I were talking and just waiting at the bar and the bartender in the beret handed me what I asked for and I pointed to the drinks and said I was paying for those as well, all in all 2 shots and 2 drinks. When he asked for my card I saw the total was $120 (this was our first time coming here) and I thought it was outrageous but nothing was itemized and unfortunately for me I don’t like arguing as they’re normally rude when pointing out a mistake so I just ate it. (don’t do that). He handed me two more drinks and I asked what those were and he told me I ordered them. I said no and that I only ordered 2 drinks and 2 shots, and said I was wondering why that was so expensive. He was arguing back with me and insisting that was what I ordered, this was the beginning of the night, nobody was intoxicated yet, I was with 3 other people that also started backing me up as I never ordered these extra drinks. His exact words were “well what do you want me to do” I can give you “shots on the house”, I didn’t want shots I didn’t want these extra drinks, I didn’t want anymore alcohol! So I grabbed the drinks dumbfounded after being berated (ironically) by the bartender in the beret and sat them on a table somewhere else and lost what I would assume to be $45 on these and was met with contempt. Really upsetting as I loved everything else about the place, and would love to go back but this experience is...

They were out of most of their appetizers and some of their menu items. Table and seats were wobbly and we immediately spilled our water when trying to sit down because of the unstable seating. Bartender was amazing, very attentive and made the best drink I’ve ever received.
The wait staff is the main reason for the 1 star. After finishing our 5 pieces of over priced sashimi, my friend went to the bathroom and I closed the check. I left a cash tip. As I waited for my friend to come back, the host told me they needed the table for the next reservation and to go sit on the couch. It was a little abrupt since we hadn’t been there that long and we weren’t aware of a time limit for dining. After I moved to the couch, another host came over with my bill and asked me if I was dissatisfied with my service. I said the bartender was great and I left a cash tip as a thanks. She then told me I needed to revise my bill and add a tip on my card. She handed me back the bill and waited for me to write in an additional tip (on top of the cash I already left)… I thought she was kidding at first but she was not and kept insisting. I was so offended but felt cornered and pressured with the staff member hovering over me while I waited for my friend. Really disappointing way to end what we thought was going to be a...

rezzie at 8 but sat at 820/825ish - the hostess acknowledged the late seating and apologized which is appreciated. Also, when i left she re-apologized for the late seating which again is appreciated, however, if you realize that perhaps comp a drink or a hand roll. That would have increased the rating for great customer service.
Food Review: We did the omakase, it was good but wasn’t memorable besides the last piece as i hate eel yet it was a really good piece of eel so i would highlight that
The Chef was good but very difficult to understand (which is fine), but the sous chef who spoke perfect english did not contribute much to the omakase experience. He could have added additional value by providing some “color commentating”
The hand rolls were good, but again not the best.
All and All for 80 dollars per person certainly a reasonable price for omakase, but i can’t fully recommend it. i would prefer to go there and get some drinks and then a la carte order hand rolls as a food to snack on.
the place has solid potential as a place to eat and drink (more like a lounge) but i wouldn’t go here solely due...
