Other than the festive decorations and music, this bar was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend it. First, we had a reservation for 3 people and I ended up bringing an extra person in hopes of just seating them at the bar. The fourth person was turned down (which was fine, because I had only reserved 3 seats), but there were several open seats the entire night right next to where we were seated, so it made absolutely no sense to turn another person down when they clearly had the room.
More importantly, after we had paid for our (pretty expensive) drinks, which included 3 shots, we paid our bill and were ready to go. A server came up to us and accused us of taking the shot glasses and told us that we would be charged for the shot glasses. We insisted that we did not take them, and were extremely shocked that she was trying to charge us for it, but she didn't believe us. One of the girls in our group literally opened her purse (when she didn't have to prove anything to her) and the server looked inside. Just plain rude and unacceptable, especially since two of the girls in our group are POC and there didn't seem to be any hostility or accusations towards anyone else in the bar. Would give this place 0/5...
Read moreThe ambience was really cool and you could clearly tell they put hard work into the decoration. The guy bringing people in seemed really nice and engaged the line outside.
But the space is small. Smaller than an average Manhattan bar. So the seating area is really tight and cramped. I researched beforehand and found out this place has great eggnog. It does but it’s WAAAAY overpriced for what you get. $16 for 1/2 cup of eggnog. I’m not sure that’s standard but it seems a little scam-ish to me. When I walked in the floor was sticky. I’m not sure why but it was kind of gross. Did someone spill a drink everywhere on the floor??? There is a notable lack of diversity which may or may not be an issue for most and they can’t really control that.
All in all, nice people and beautiful aesthetic but overpriced for what you get and small as hell. That’s why I give...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I checked out miracle on 9th this Christmas and love everything about it .The vibes and drinks were good. It's a holiday themed pop-up bar in NYC East Village, featuring Christmas decorations and seasonal drinks. Definitely need to make reservations beforehand because it gets very packed. When we walked in, they gave us a cute Christmas beanie, keeping us warm. This is definitely a cute spot to take your friends/ family to sip and have a good time. Inside is quite small but the environment felt cozy and bustling inside. Who will you take here to visit this bar with? It was such a fun & festive experience for us and so...
