I came in for some affordable food and asked for a menu and decided on the Chicken Curry Special. I also ordered 2 sweets and a tea. I was under the impression that a special usually comes with everything to later find out that it was a la carte. I was given the receipt for an order which was not mine when I asked for one after paying cash and when I went back to dispute this is when I found out that I was charged for everything separately and it was not a special that included anything and was still not given a receipt, just lip from the girl behind the counter about the prices of things after the fact. The receipt business makes me think that this was intentionally misleading and left out. I offered to pay for my food before she served me and was told to pay after. This leads me to believe that she knew I was not aware that specials at Indian restaurants tend to come with 1 item and not a regular special that comes with things and took advantage of that instead of communicating to someone who is obviously from a different culture. I recognize that this is likely cultural and will blame myself for not asking clarifying questions and for trying to try a new restaurant/cultural experience but no one wants to leave a restaurant feeling like they just got...
Read moreIm a foodie, and when I see somewhere new I always want to try it. I ordered the goat, it was cold which wasn’t a problem because I was taking it home anyway, but food supposed to be hot at a restaurant because we want hot food not food that was cooked the night before and left in the fridge overnight because it was cold. I came home open the dish with the goat and it smell like the actual goat from the chicken farm that sells goat. The meat wasn’t washed properly to get rid of the smell, I warm it up in a pot on the stove and the small was worse. The flavor was pepper. We couldn’t eat it. Three order of goat curry and rice in the trash.
How did I write a fake review when it’s what I experience $66 to waste. Your goat smell like the chicken farm. I’m sure other people will experience it. Writing a review don’t make me rich, I’m just writing what I experience. Your food was cold and the goat smell!! Why would I lie! Not like I’m asking for my money back! Learn to take criticism and wash your meat properly with...
Read moreHad a lovely experience enjoying some traditional halal Bengali food recently, and it honestly felt like a warm taste of home. The flavors were rich, comforting, and clearly made with love.
One of the highlights for me was the chotpoti, served with a perfectly boiled egg on top. It was tangy, spicy, and just the right amount of heat—exactly how chotpoti should be. We also had beef rezala, parathas, biryani, and some delicious vegetable curries. Every dish tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and authentic.
It’s a huge plus that everything is fully halal, and the staff were so kind and welcoming throughout. The whole meal was satisfying from start to finish.
If you're craving real Bengali flavors that are halal and made right, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be...
