Crepe meaning "frying pan", which in English is literally translated to Pancakes.
The crepe was born as an accident, created by fourteen-year-old waiter Henri Charpentier in 1895 at the Maitre at Monte Carlo’s Café de Paris. He was preparing a dessert for the Prince of Wales and describes the creation of the desert in a published book about his life. He states that it was an accident that the pastry had burned and Charpentier tasted it hoping it would be good enough to serve, since there wasn't enough time to create a new dish. Charpentier describes the creation of the crêpe with, "Thus was born and baptized this confection, one taste of which, I really believe, would reform a cannibal into a civilized gentleman." It was served to the prince who enjoyed it so much that the following day he sent its creator a Panama hat, a cane, and a jeweled ring.
The story of T-swirl Crepe starts thousands of miles away on the shores of Japan. The Japanese Crepe borrows from a western concept and modernized it into new level of versatility that you can gobble on the go. Building on this new concept, T-swirl started to research and have perfected the 100% gluten free rice flour batter, to craft a crispy thin chewy layer that embraces all the decadent condiments.

Read moreA+ I’ve always wanted to try this place just never got around to. Let me just start by saying that it exceeded my expectations. We ordered to savory veggie crepes - the mushroom one and the double egg one. I also wanted to try their mille crepe cake, they have a new rose flavored one which isn’t too sweet. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea which came in the cutest cup with a little heart shaped stopper. The attention to detail is so Japanese! Everything is cute and the packaging is functional. You can unwrap the crepe paper as you eat your way through to the bottom. Everything is light and delicious, my partner even went back and got a second mushroom crepe. I can’t wait to come back and try the other savor yand especially sweet ones!
Edit:
I returned for another T-swirl lunch. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and the BLT ones. They were both good but they were a little heavy on the sauce. I would order them again but would ask them to go light on the sauce, just a personal preference. And let me tell you I was so full I couldn’t finish the second one. My partner had the mushroom one which is both of our favorite and he had the double egg one. He still prefers the...
Read moreI always enjoy whichever ginormous sweet crepe I order here: 5/5. However, quality of service: 2/5. I haven't been here since pre-pandemic. There is a kiosk now; fine. Placed my order and it asks for your name and cell# so they can text you when your order is ready; fine. Today there was probably 6 people on duty.. noone acknowledges, let alone, greets you. I went back to my car bc my meter was up after 10 min. I ended up waiting 30 min for just 2 crepes. I walked back and my order had been sitting there. I informed them that their own kiosk says they'd text me but didn't.. And I just got a blank look. Then, they tried to only give me one free boba tea when their promo gives me two. Again, blank look. I had to tell them to give me the 2nd. Parking is difficult around here so the lack of concern for service was really...
