Taam Eden Bakery — Restaurant in New York

I tried two different sour doughs (seeds & olive), a spelt challah loaf (rectangle not round), and the mini babkas (chocolate & coffee).

5⭐️The spelt challah loaf was excellent.

It had great texture and moisture, which is challenging with spelt dough. It tears well and slices well due it’s density.

The level of surprise from this bread 🍞 made this my favorite part of the purchase.

4⭐️ The sour dough breads are tasty. They have a nice density. The crumb is pretty, and is easy enough to cut through.

Taam Eden’s sour dough is currently my favorite from the options available around Boroughs Park & South Williamsburg.

Much like other sour dough options I’ve tried, I wish these had a bit more funk or fermentation allowed before baking. Still the most flavorful option. There’s room for a bit more flavor complexity.

3⭐️ Mini babkas (Chocolate & Coffee) Tasty, good texture. Both babkas needed more of the flavor they were labeled with. The coffee flavor was too subtle.

Maybe the chocolate mini babka was fine, but you get spoiled by double...

This bakery is seriously something else. I mean, the moment you walk through the door, the smell is absolutely divine—it immediately tells you you’re in for a treat. I've been to a lot of bakeries, but Taam Eden is honestly the best I’ve ever experienced. I only had one thing: their Rugelach. And honestly, that was all I needed to be completely sold. Forget everything else; the Rugelach alone is the absolute gold standard. It’s a true masterpiece. It’s so flaky and buttery, and it just melts in your mouth. Whether it was the Chocolate or the Cinnamon, the flavor was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just perfect. The texture is simply unmatched. If you’re debating stopping by, just go. I had a very pleasant experience today when I was looking for a quick lunch to go. I walked into Taam Eden bakery, expecting that I'll just have to walk right out... can I really find "lunch" in a bakery?... but I figured, the store was just too inviting to just pass without going in. So I did. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the fresh salad bar. The staff served me graciously and I added a hot brewed coffee at checkout. Great staff! Spacious store. Delicious food.
