I was there almost a month ago and I was somehow happy with the food and service. Then I wrote a review about my experience. After that I was reading other reviews, seem like they made comment for themselves and their friends to make them look better. Anyway my friends and I went there today again. We ordered calamari, findik (small) lahmacun and cop shish. We waited so long for the calamari, even though next table got there after us and got their french fries and other fried stuff anyway I asked one of the waitress for our calamari, he said it's in the kitchen and coming I was being patient and still waited for it but instead of calamari they brought us findik lahmacun first. Some of them looks bitten on the way and looks-taste like radish was from yesterday as you see in the picture. Since we were hungry we didn't say anything and started our dinner then all the sudden they brought us our main courses then after a few seconds they brought us our calamari. We got our appetizer after main course and we have all the food at the same time on the table so, I wasn't happy at all but since we were hungry we didn't make a big deal and ate our dinner. After we finished our dinner waitress asked us if everything was ok, do we need any desert or anything. I said I wasn't happy with the service so we don't want anything else. I assume she felt bad or knew what happened she offered fruit plate, even though I said no they still brought to our table and my friends ate some watermelon and said it's been sliced since morning or yesterday. If you offered fruit plate to make it up your mistake at least you should bring FRESH fruit not the one from yesterday. Seem like instead of putting in the garbage they gave it to us. I was pushing my limits and still kept cool and didn't say anything but when we were paying the check, I only left $ 1 tip and told waitress about the reason and our experience with the food and service. Hope she understood and mentioned these problems to manager or owner...

My friend and I had an excellent time at Taci Beyti's this week. We called ahead and the owner, Ersin, made sure that there was a table for two for us during an especially busy time of the night. We were promptly greeted by Mehmet, who promptly got us water, wine glasses, and some bread to munch on while we decided what to order. Everything was excellent and came out super quickly. I ordered my favorite, the chicken kebabs, and my friend ordered the Mix Grill. We also tried the Eggplant Spread and the Eggplant Tomato Spread, which were good additions to the bread & hummus (and good toppings for our mains). Overall, I can definitely see why Taci's Beyti is Zagat Ranked. BYOB, and even though it's fairly South of Brooklyn, it's definitely worth the trek if you enjoy Turkish food. PS: it's also VERY GREAT for groups. My table was for two, but the waitresses also handled neighboring parties of 6-8 with ease.

The place was almost empty when I arrived after 2 pm. Wait to be seated as the sign said so I waited. 2 Russian speaking patrons came behind me and shoved me aside and walked right in front of me and was seated before me. And then of all the empty spaces, I was seated right next to the two rude customers LMAO. The food was excellent except for the eggplant spread way too salty and pricey. The grilled trout and a small salad came with it was really good. I order a small side of rice and it is well accompanied with the fish. I wanted some chilli and one of the waiters got me a whole grilled jalapeño and it was spicy delicious. My whole meal cost $47.66 included tip without any drink. Overall, I'm satisfy with this restaurant. Place was clean, the food was good, the service was decent. Will I go back to? maybe or maybe not.

My family has been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. Great food. When people would find out I'm Turkish and ask about Turkish food, I would always tell them if you want as authentic as possible, go to Taci's. It's a smidge overpriced but worth it bc of the food and employees. I placed a delivery order 2 weeks ago. They forgot my cacik, no problem. The lady I spoke to said she couldn't send the driver back out just for cacik (that was annoying bc they made the mistake and should've resolved it) But, I let it go and decided to order again today as mistakes do happen. The lady offered a free desert for the mistake, nice. No worries. Today I call and some lady named "Ken" whom I explained to what happened before. Asked her to check my phone number to confirm. First, she gives me an address only used once. I gave her my correct address as I have ordered food here a million times before. Now, instead of just taking my order, she says she has to see if she can send a delivery driver to my location. I told her they have delivered here every time. She then proceeds to argue with me over my address, what I ordered, and what desert I can have bc of their mistake. I asked to to stop cutting me off when I'm speaking, that wasn't possible. I asked to speak with a manager or owner, that was not possible as she claimed that she was the only one available. I told her ahe was rude and disrespectful. She told me I was the one being rude for asking for a manager. I asked whne the boss will be in and she tells me she doesn't know and that I can call anyone I want. She doesn't care. Long story longer, Taci's just lost a customer of 20 something years and ALL referrals from me. I think it's sad and disgusting that a business now has to lose customers bc of such...

Taci's has always impressed me with quality of it's food but service always seem to lack in this place. My wife and I went there for dinner on our anniversary and the experience was very underwhelming unfortunately. We ordered shepherd salad, ezme followed by iskender and karisik pide. The food was great, now here's when the experience started getting sour for me. First, the wine was served in a cordial glass instead of a proper wine glass so there's no room left in the glass for you to smell the wine like you supposed to, not to mention my wine was corked and no one seemed to bother to check the quality of wines before serving. We didn't have any room left to enjoy Pide so we wanted to have it boxed to go. All the servers were having some kind of meeting on the other side of the restaurant so it took me a while to grab someone's attention to ask my food to be boxed and to request a desert menu. Couple minutes later a server brought a couple of supermarket containers and dumped it on the table. So you want me to box my own food while tipping you 20%?? Then few minutes later they sat another couple at our table ( they have larger tables where they accommodate multiple guests apparently ) and we had to witness their family drama first hand. As someone who has worked in restaurant/hotel industry for years I must say the management of this place needs to get fired for providing such a poor service. All the servers must be re-trained and re-focused. In conclusion, If you're planning to impress a loved one or your guest, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but if you a foodie and don't care about the ambience or service, this place is for you! My dining experience was bruised due to such major hiccups and I don't think I will ever return...
