My wife and MIL used to go there until yesterday when staff crossed an unforgivable line against our 10 year old special needs child. Oldeat of 7 children and rhis was supposed to be a treat for him because their hot chocolate is ok and the baby needed to be changed (Tropical has a restroom. They have always over charged and argued with most customers, Their food is super salty and yesterday they let 4 waves of lines of people order and ignored us the entire time but then on top of that the old female behind the counter was cackling and kept picking on and bullying my 10 year old son who is clearly a boy and dressed as a boyis that a boy or a girl over and over while laughing at him and laughing harder at him being upset over it. He was upset all day and night by this cowardly bully b. None of the staff are worth a d and neither...

I actually love this place, the pricing is good and 95.95 percent of the time the food is good. My problem is not with walk-in service but with delivery.. They seem to treat this option as a opportunity to give you and serve you what ever scraps and however they feel. I posted a pick of my lunch order (a few orders were delivered) but one (quarter chicken and rice) had only the skin of the chicken no meat what so ever. when I called all I got was it’s good in Spanish as if saying “that’s how it is” Now I am a resident 24 years and have eaten at this place plenty of times amd know better service. I will no longer allow delivery service and if I do will be checking all my order before paying before hand. if they can’t treat this kind of service with respect, Intregaity and consideration. now I have one child crying...

The employees listen to music and talk to each other while serving customers.getting delivery takes forever. When you call.they are very rude. My sister called one time she was on hold for 30 mins. Called back and they put her in hold. They have bad food and bad service. They run it like that because its in a black neighborhood.

I am a Latino male and I can pass as a black man. I understand and speak Spanish fluently. The employees of this particular spot are racist against blacks. Ignorance is bliss. Today I waited on line while the servers were chit chatting with a friend. In Spanish I over heard and employees say ' esto negros puede espera'. He said that black people can wait. I was so disgusted by this comment that I walked out. I will never be eating there again.

The place is horrible at every turn....

I have been coming here for years and today it was a Spanish new guy and Spanish lady I have never seen who was very racist toward me and my friend. We were waiting in line and he wanted to skip us to serve the police officer. The police officer told him that we were before them. When my friend ask for a fork and different salad dressing because she didn’t like the one she had. The Spanish lady was very nasty and said you half to pay. My friend said no problem which salad dressing do you have. I told the I told the guy your a racist and wrong and need to treat people with respect. I not coming back not another dime -

Lines are long during the evening and sometimes this restaurant runs out of white rice. Food is great with a few exceptions in the menu. the Roasted chicken is fantastic. Update: over the past few months they have lacked in the quality of their roasted chicken, which has been mostly white meat. People around here like their chicken cooked and roasted well and their not delivering, if you want to risk getting Salmonella come here, just look at the picture I attached also past 7 pm they be running out of chicken, consistently

Outstanding delicious, wholesome meal. Tropical Grill employees are the nicest people in Harlem and bilingual. They never cut corners and go above and beyond. Filling plates to the brim is their practice. I’ve eaten here at least once a week going on 3 years and they’ve remained reliably consistent. Considering the location, this salmon plate is only $11 and will keep you full the entire day if eaten for lunch. I highly recommend trying Tropical Grill!
