I can’t begin to explain how good the food is at Uni Thai Bistro. This is definitely my new favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood, as some of the others have been losing quality recently. My roommate and I have ordered from here at least two times a week for months now, and we’ve never once been disappointed with the food. We’ve tried a bunch of stuff on the menu, so I’ll let you know our favorites. Our go-to dishes are the green curry or panang curry with extra veggies. I like extra spicy and my roommate likes it more mild, and they always accommodate us perfectly. The curry puffs are excellent and crispy with a delicious filling. They also have amazing fried rice dishes. The basil fried rice is definitely the best, with the pineapple fried rice coming in a close second. The wings zaab are out of this world with an incredible seasoning. Very crispy and full of flavor. Excellent pad Thai and drunken noodles, both with great sauce with lots of flavor. If you like spicy, I’d definitely recommend the Larb Gai salad and the Southern stir-fried chicken with herbs. They pack a lot of heat, but also a lot of flavor. Also, the Yum Woon Sen glass noodle salad is...
Read moreI ordered Basil Sauce with Veggie and Tofu, which I have ordered before, but tonight they were busy and gave me NO tofu. They tried to tell me that there are only a few pieces on tofu in this order--but I have ordered this before and again, there were NO pieces of tofu in the order. I had traveled by train just to get this meal for myself an another and ended up with NO protein in my meal, even though it cost $15 + tax for my meal, and $32 for the meal I was supposed to enjoy with my mother. Instead, the whole $32 was a waste because instead of relaxing and enjoying it we had to cook more food to make up for what was missing. Katie/KD offered me a credit for a future $32 meal credit within the month, but I have no idea how they are going to keep track of this--hopefully this review is at least a record of this happening tonight 12/23/2023 receipt Guest #12 in case they act like they don't know what I'm talking about if I decide to try Uni again and claim my replacement meal. SO...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for over a year with my brother, and the overall experience has been fantastic. Authentic Thai food, kind service, and a relaxed spot to chill. The place is small yet cozy, though it might be convenient to consider take out ordering.
I have personally lived in Thailand myself, and the flavors here are comparable to many of the outstanding food markets I had the chance to stop by (some of them holding the famous Michelin star).
We found fascinating that every dish in the menu has something to offer, but in my humble opinion, you will never go wrong with their Khao Soi Gai (you need to enjoy spicy flavors too). A true hidden gem in Brooklyn, and one of our favorite...
