The food seems very yummy and the menu is very interesting. However, I wouldnât know because the service here is HORRIBLE and I barely got my food. The waiter served our food to all the other tables around us and completely forgot we even ordered in the first place. We were waiting for an hour for our food and then they served us the bill for food we didnât even get served to us. After realizing that we didnât get the food because our plates we perfectly clean. They âstartedâ making our food. Finally we received string bean fries and regular fries with a Snapple and iced coffee. After waiting another 45 minutes we realized our food ultimately was not being made. We asked them to cancel our order completely since it wasnât coming. They gave us the bill for the fries Snapple and iced coffee we received and wanted 100$. YES, 100$ for 2 fries and 2 drinks. I couldnât believe how the restaurant knew they did wrong by us and still thought it was okay to charge that kind of money. When we tried approaching them nicely explaining that they messed up on their end and should try to accommodate us for it they refused and insisted we pay it. I would never have the guts to say anything negative about a Jewish establishment but Iâm honestly appalled by the type of customer service that was provided. I have never had anything like this. The people around us felt bad and even tried to explain to the owners of this establishment that this isnât the right way to handle customers. From start to finish we had to beg for the very little food we received I left hungry. I would also like to add that personally it is very unsanitary the way they served the food. It is disgusting to serve food to the wrong table and after leaving it there for a few minutes realizing it was a mistake to all of the sudden try to give it to the original table that ordered it. That is unacceptable. All I was thinking the whole time like what if someone sneezed near the food and they tried to serve it back to me. I lost my appetite and was so happy to leave.
I would really like to emphasize that although I had a bad experience at this one Jewish establishment. There are many other Jewish restaurants that have exceptional customer service and that every restaurant should be judged fairly with no...
Read moreBig thank you to Urbana! Excellent food, ambiance and service. Everything you could ask for and more. Usually motse Shabbat restaurants are not really operating on all cylinders or at least that is how it feels oftentimes... but they never let us see them sweat tonight! We showed up, myself, my husband and 5 kids varying in age from 19 to 9 and not only did they get us a great table in a cozy nook but the wait was only like 15 minutes on a very busy Saturday night. They were very accommodating with our various requests even though they warned us it would mean that we would have to forgive the presentation, (which was still quite beautiful despite our various requests). The food was delicious, perfectly executed and really imaginative and no one left with out a smile on their face. Thank you Dimitri and to the kind, patient, professional manager! You guys made our night! Really a class act! I have to say even though we ordered every app and every dessert I failed to take pictures of everything because we were so busy enjoying our selves.
** Update:
Once again a big shout out to Urbana, Sam took great care of us and the food was beyond! We had a lot of our favorites from last time which were consistent and delicious. đ We also decided to try the Polenta which was a revelation on polenta, I have made it and eaten it many times but this is a whole new take and a delectable one at that. It was creamy, almost soupy, with a fresh corn flavor and the flavor of Parmesan and fresh cream was divine, that with the chewy, juicy mushrooms came together in a really sumptuous dish. We also decided to try the Ocean Crudo Tostada which was the ultimate bite, it was balanced, creamy, crunchy, it hit on all the tastes you want, umami, sweet, salty, sour... like I said the ultimate bite. I was dining with someone who had never had raw fish and Sam our waitress recommended this, and she was so spot on, my friend tried raw fish for the first time and loved it! We also tried a couple of new desserts the creme brĂ»lĂ©e and the pink merengue...They have the best creme brĂ»lĂ©e I have ever had (better than my own I'm sad to say) and the pink merengue dessert was unexpected and divine, the hazelnut chocolate sauce is like liquid ferro rocher... Thank you Urbana for a...
Read moreThanks Moe Molcho! - Here's some advice. If a restaurant is going to be closing in 60-30 minutes and you wanna play a cards against humanity game with your friends at the table that could take 2-3 hours to get through on a Wednesday evening; then, just don't go and host at your place. Take other people into consideration. I didn't rush you through your meal. Your food came as you ordered it. You order the food and it comes to the table ( that's how that works ). I waited your table to the end properly and politely. I didn't take your plate that you were still eating off of man. Be honest. That plate had one half piece of greens on it no bigger than 1 inch with your fork sitting in the middle of your plate in the leftover sauce and you hadn't touched it in 10 minutes. If you weren't done eating it then what were you going to do with it? Save it for a museum? Were you going to pull your soiled fork out of the sauce and wipe it off to get the last bite? Come on man. Be honest. I asked if you wanted anything else, you guys said no, I ran you the check, paid you out and I left home to study for my MATH FINAL. Now I'm feeling considerably better about my math test but I'm out a job that I really loved in the middle of finals week because you're an inconsiderate and rude customer who finds it appropriate to leave a one star review to an establishment and a server that never did anything wrong to you. During Hanukkah too! You're Jewish. I saw your kippahs. You think that's a proper way to act towards other people? Be they your server or not? I know I'm goyim but sheesh man you need to open your eyes. Judging by the other reviews you've left restaurants on your Google profile it almost seems you could make a good living with a part time job of slandering people for no good reason. Now instead of using my day off tomorrow to study more so I know I'll pass I have to leave that behind and go out to find another job to support myself. Then, not to mention, the family issues I'm going through right now. Wow. Sorry I don't have much respect for people who cannot respect others. ('')_/ Thanks for being you buddy! Shout out to your great considerate friends too! Real classy and respectful folks. Good on you! Good on...
