Verde's Pizza & Pasta House — Restaurant in New York

Last week my family traveled to Staten Island from Florida and when we asked the front desk at our hotel where we could get some great Italian food they sent us to Verde’s. We’re so grateful for that recommendation because that was the best Italian food I’ve had in over 15 years!! Obviously Florida isn’t known for its Italian food but I’m originally from Long Island so I know what Italian food should be and this place is phenomenal. The Garlic Rolls melt in your mouth and the sauce they are served with is out of this world. We ordered Chicken Parm, Penne Ala Vodka and my Mom had the Fried Shrimp Appetizer. Everything was amazing. Before we left we were already selecting what we would be ordering for dinner. Unfortunately our plans ran late and we weren’t able to make it back to the restaurant. The next day we had to fly home so we missed our opportunity to have more delicious food. Not sure when we will be able to get back to NY but we now know where to go for a fantastic meal. The staff was also so friendly and welcoming. We weren’t sure where to park and a very nice gentleman even came outside to assist us. That’s what I call above and beyond service. I always order food and also come to order food at Verde's Pizza & Pasta House. Never ever have I been disappointed! The food is delicious, always on point, outstanding customer service and outstanding delivery as well! I would rate it a 10 out of 5. I have been ordering for my company of over 70+ employees every other Friday and everyone loves the food and is always highly satisfied. Sebastian, the owner, is an amazing human being and a great person to work with. He is always asking for feedback to improve everything he does to continue providing the outstanding, amazing and delicious food and service he provides. The times I have come to pick up food to take home, the restaurant is nicely kept, clean, always see people eating here, great vibes and great ambiance!

My wife loves their salads with grilled chicken, my kids love all their pizza and all my employees love all the food we order from Verde's Pizza! I have ordered pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, soups, salads, garlic knots, Hamburgers and all their food is amazingly delicious! I actually stopped by this fantastic family establishment earlier in the year, during a trip to NYC, recommended by a friend from the area. Kind, friendly staff and really great Italian comfort food with a HUGE menu. Pizza was excellent, a little different from the typical NYC slice, but excellent. Other dishes are very generous, and flavors are top notch. Really cool spot, kind of retro and old-school City, and very much the typical east coast red-sauce and cheese comfort food spot. You feel like you're eating grandma's Sunday dinner. I recommend Momma Verde's Sicilian Pizza, as well as Momma's Lasagna. On point, and served HOT! On Victory, just past Wild, you can't go wrong if you're on the Island, and you'll love the zillion menu options!
