To the concerned party,
As a retired veteran of the Navy SEALs, I write to express my profound dismay and indignation regarding a recent encounter at Vibes 2 on Merrick. Regrettably, I sustained combat-related injuries that have rendered me legally blind in one eye and with only 40% vision in the other. On Tuesday evening, accompanied by my service dog, a fellow Navy SEALs K9 veteran, I entered the establishment. My service dog, adorned with a prominently displayed service dog vest, serves as my indispensable guide, and I consistently carry all pertinent documentation.
Despite my attempts to contact the establishment by phone, each call resulted in prolonged holds of 6 to 8 minutes, prompting my decision to visit in person. Upon arrival, I endured an additional 10 to 15 minutes of wait time before being informed that I could not place an order due to the purported prohibition of dogs within the establishment. It is important to note that no explicit signage or prior notice indicated such a policy. The conduct of an individual of Jamaican descent, who exhibited extreme rudeness and disrespect, compounded the distressing nature of this encounter, culminating in a demand for my departure on account of my service animal.
I find this treatment not only distressing, but also deeply injurious, especially as it resulted in the denial of a meal for a paying customer who relies on his service animal as a lifeline. Such treatment is particularly distressing in light of my 27 years of dedicated service to our nation. My daughter, who is autistic, had expressed her fondness for Keith Lee and suggested that I visit Vibes 2—a recommendation that was met with such disappointing treatment.
In light of this egregious incident, I feel compelled to escalate this matter to higher authorities, including the health department, and to engage legal counsel. I possess photographic evidence confirming the absence of any prohibitive signage, as well as the inappropriate placement of an iPhone atop the serving utensils during this encounter.
It is with a heavy heart that I convey my profound displeasure, disgust, and sorrow in response to these distressing events. I trust that this matter will be addressed with the gravity it warrants.
Sincerely, An aggravated Purple...
Read moreI'll be honest. The food is pretty good most of the times I've had it 2022. But I put a request in for uber eats and whoever was there at the nightshift clearly didn't want to do her job. Trust me I get it when it's the last hour on your shift but if I place an order through uber eats, I do expect to get my food. I do not pay $30 for complications, I pay for food. Sooo that means, yes I can be entitled to my plate because I paid for it and someone is on their way to pick it up. The lady telling me to "cancel the order and order something else" just because she didn't have any "left" was ridiculous. I asked shorty several times what was there for me instead chicken wise at least to which she answered still instructing I cancel and reorder because the prices are different. Babygirl 2,3 dollars wouldn't kill you, I already paid $30 for my food, you telling me you couldn't offer something else instead? I get it if I was looking for salmon or crab instead but you couldn't offer me some sort of chicken you had available because its supposedly a different price. Well either take it off the menu or offer what you have, thats proper customer service. Then I had to be on phone with uber eats to try to cancel it because it's already accepted by a delivery person. This lady just inconvenienced 3 people due to incompetent customer service skills. At what cost? Ultimately your service, money...
Read moreNot only am still upset about the way this place is operating. Not only did I call 45 minutes before arriving to the store this is not the first or the second time nor the Third. It's to the point where I have to leave a comment usually I really don't complain but this place I hope either they change their staff or they go out of business. So Yesterday Friday March 6th 2020 I called at around 8 p.m. I ordered a simple meal grilled salmon with macaroni and cheese and French fries. I arrived at the store at 8:30. Not only the pickup and the takeout line people cross over and don't know how the waiting line that's one thing I'm not going to get on because it's the store is responsibility. 8:45 I'm still Waiting, finally another 10 minutes they asked me what did I order then to realize they did not make my order right. He assured me that they would fix it I went and sat back in my car I waited another 10 to 15 minutes went back inside they completely forgot my order mind you already paid. Then after another half an hour I said enough is enough. That was the last straw before my incidents it was almost a similar scenario every time. I would never go back to Vibes 2 I rather drive the 20 minutes to their other location.. if Supreme was home none of this would...
