Wise Deli & Grill — Restaurant in New York

Good food, but unfortunately the grill and salad bar are compromised. The salad bar doesn't have covers over the variety of different vegetables so their will be flies that will fly around and land on the different vegetables leaving various microbial particles they please. I longed calculated this as a possibility but I decided to take a gamble. Right when I was about to list what I want in my salad, I saw a fly land on the chicken. I told the guy I'd pass. Also, another compromise is the deli workers have a 3 bladed fan about 6 ft in height blowing their way when they make the food. Take a good look at the fan, it has so many dust particles, so many, and that fan is blowing directly onto the food area placing all those particles onto the food. If they can place covers over the different food trays and wash the fan or get a new one, they'd be good to go. My review may sound gay to the uneducated but as a scientist, this is...

This place was a death trap! We ordered 3 subs. One turkey and two Roastbeef. My husband and father were so incredibly food poisoned I was on the verge of taking them to the hospital. Took 4 days for them to recover. My father had to go to the clinic to get anti vomit medication. It got scary. The reason I post, is that to top it all off when my husband when to inform them to be careful of their food handling, the cook denied it all and said he was trying to get a free sandwich for the complaint. This deli has to be one of the best I’ve visited in New York. Not only was the vibe of the spot very nice, they also keep it very neat and clean. The service is impeccable—you’re greeted with smiles and very kind interactions. And then the selection of drinks are the best I’ve seen and experienced in New York—they have drinks I’ve never seen in other spots, like better flavors and choices.
