Yaaas was a brand that was mostly based in Long Island so when I got word that the new location was going to be in Queens, I was very happy for the neighborhood!
I have been to most of their other locations so I know their brand very well and standard of quality. This particular store in Queens is quite special for a few different reasons. First off, the great expansion in to Queens is a big deal and I knew many people who made the trip to Long Island just to order drinks! The hours are a little different than some of the other stores but the management here knows the area and the customer base.
The location on Queens Blvd is right near the local bus stop and subway so very convenient for commuters, students and those that happen to be nearby. For those who choose to drive, there is parking in the street (not directly in front due to the bus stop) but on the sides and further down Queens Blvd).
They opened during the holiday period which is usually a slow time for most businesses but they rode out the storm and have made some good relations in the community as well. They are open very early at 7a and offer some snack and breakfast options (but it is actually all day breakfast for those who eat later) that include some delicious savory and dessert croffles. Each one is made fresh to order.
I am a big fan of the cookies they sell., The 3 pack is the best deal and you will definitely be hooked once you start noshing on them. Classic chocolate chip and Red Velvet are the top in my book.
This location has some room for indoor seating by the window or in the center if you are not in a hurry and want to relax with your drinks and snacks. Ultimately it is very efficient with kiosk ordering or you can order with a staff member. The most convenient way is via the Yaas tea app on your smart phone. The drinks are always ready by the time i arrived and there was a special discount code that could be used specifically for this Forrest Hills location (check with the store for details as some codes may have expired).
My go to drinks are usually the the slushies like the Orea and the Matcha. i would definitely recommend to order ahead as those drinks take a little bit more time to make. The classic brown sugar brulee bobo is always a favorite and for something refreshing you cannot go wrong with their fruit tea selections. The tapioca pearls are always made fresh here on a strict schedule so no matter what time you order a drink you are getting fresh pearls in your drinks.
The staff here is always very polite. The management team deserves special shoutout. Michelle and Amy are always so welcoming and at first I did not even know they were the owners of this particular location. They hustle and work hard when it is busy because they care about their customers. They were trained by Kelly so they are upholding the high standards of the Yaaas tea brand. This location is not the closest for me but I have made many trips specifically to Forrest Hills location because they...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place that serves up bubble tea that's as fun to drink as it is to say, Yaaas Bubble Tea is the spot! I’ve been on a bit of a bubble tea journey lately and I’ve tried a few of their top drinks: brown sugar, taro, jasmine tea,— and let me tell you, each one was a total hit!
Brown Sugar Bubble Tea I’ve had my fair share of brown sugar boba, but Yaaas’ take on it is NEXT LEVEL. The brown sugar syrup is rich and not overly sweet, with just the right amount of depth. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy, and the whole thing is balanced beautifully with the milk. If you’re a fan of this classic, you need to try it!
Taro Bubble Tea Taro is one of those flavors that’s super hit or miss — but Yaaas nailed it! The taro milk is creamy and slightly sweet with a subtle nutty flavor that doesn’t overwhelm. The boba pearls are the perfect texture and really add a fun, chewy contrast to the smooth drink. It’s a comforting flavor that feels like a hug in a cup.
Jasmine Tea Bubble Tea For those who prefer something a little lighter, the Jasmine Tea is a total winner. The floral notes of the jasmine blend so well with the sweetness of the milk, creating a refreshing and calming drink. It's perfect for when you're craving something that’s not too heavy but still packs flavor. Plus, the jasmine aroma is just heavenly.
Yaaas Bubble Tea is a total winner in my book. The flavors are on point, and the drinks are always refreshing. Whether you’re a bubble tea newbie or a seasoned pro, there's something for everyone here. Definitely give them a try if you haven’t yet — I’m already planning my next visit to see what other flavors they’ve got up their...
Read moreThe store is pretty and the staff cordial. Iced Americano was very good. Egg and cheese croffel was likewise something I would have again. I took off a star, however, for excessive packaging. The iced coffee cup was sealed with the material that you punch through with a straw. The straw is sturdy plastic, likely something I can reuse that’s fine. But they also put a blue plastic cup cover with a slot for drinking and for the straw. It’s pretty, and the design is thoughtful, but in this day and age I would think a company would err on the side of less waste. I’ll be a return customer, but decline the extra lid. Maybe they can make the lid optional?
Addendum: had an excellent Americano and ham and cheese croffel. Excellent! My request for no lid was honored. And I noticed that the straw is biodegradable. Awesome. Could the lid be as well? Adding a star for...
