Key Food Supermarkets — Local services in New York

Had a horrible experience which in result will be my last time shopping here. The supermarket honestly did nothing wrong but how they handled the situation that happened to me, inside their store was unprofessional & quite disrespectful to say the least. Today while I was on-line a customer behind me was getting very close to me. I'm a female he was an older male. I asked him to move back multiple times because I was really uncomfortable & needed my personal space. I expressed this over & over again. He started talking over me & pushing up on me. Completely disregarding personal boundaries. I didn't make a scene but I'm sure everyone saw what was happening. But no on-lookers nor the cashier who I looked to for help, helped. I even verbally expressed to the cashier that I wanted to speak to a manager about what just happened. She actually shushed me & then ignored my request. Shocked, on my way out I made my way over to the help desk & explained what had happened to a lady manager. All she had to say was "he's a long-time customer". Honestly what the hell does that have to do with the fact that I was basically assaulted. I figured a woman would understand, but no. Their attitude was "lets just sweep this under the rug". Their motto should be "business over customer...

2 stars because most cashiers are nice and polite. Prices are extremely high compared to other supermarkets in the area. Meat is kept at unsafe temperatures. Twice I have bough meat on my way home (I live less than 5 minutes away walking) and when I get home that open the package it smells rotten. Issue happened in two separate occasions. Went the other day and decided to touch a pack of chicken to check the temperature and it was warmer than the room temperature in the supermarket. It is always a mess to try to get stuff at the deli because the counter is super high and some of them don't pay attention. On top of that the gentleman with the grayish/white hair at the deli does not care and keeps his back to the customers, if people grab his attention he helps them with an attitude and is rude with no manners toward the customers. He mumbles thru his mask and gets annoyed if you ask him to repeat if you don't understand what he says. Will avoid the supermarket even if I have to walk longer to get to other places to get groceries even if it's...

Awful. Too small and frequently crowded. The meat selection is scanty and often brown aside from being overpriced. The produce is not fresh and there is very little selection. Trying to navigate with a cart in aisles that are too narrow makes this place an even more frustrating experience. There are also only 2 cashiers that seem to care about good service, the others are usually rude and don't even bother with the courtesy of a hello, God forbid you ask one to double bag a heavy item, you get a deathstare. Making this worse, management is nowhere to be seen when things are going crazy. Was there today and credit card machine broke, no one responded to fix it despite the cashier's repeated pleas for assistance, place was packed and no supervisors were around to oversee the chaos. Hate the fact that this is the only place nearby, that's the ONLY reason I've returned. Will not be returning...
