Fernandes' Night Club — Restaurant in Newark

Came here Saturday the 7th. This is our first time coming to the establishment and my dad was shoved by the “entrance man” when he walked in past security (security was really nice at that moment they were very professional but then later on in the night it got worse.) We didn’t know we had to pay to get in. My dad told this entrance man, who had grey hair, firmly to not push him next time, but to talk to him instead. The man was EXTREMELY rude and said the next time we came, he would shove him out the door. As to not ruin our friend’s birthday, I did not make a scene or ask for the owner, but that type of assault is uncalled for. Honestly, we should’ve called the police on the employee and place.

Not only was the place empty (it was 9:40pm when we arrived), there wasn’t even a line or a reason for this old man to put his hands on my dad. I don’t understand why anyone would treat their customers this way.

Like I said before, it was our first time at this place and when I went in, I went with my vape and phone in hand and security didn’t say anything. I even made a joke to security to search me (since they were only checking men) and they let me through.

When I went out for a bit to smoke with my friend and came back, one of the security was really nasty and said to leave my vape in the car or throw it out or I can’t get back in. I walked it to my car and came back to go inside… WHEN another security guard told me I had to bring the vape inside so he could see it otherwise I wouldn’t be let in. Which made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE LOL? Why would they send me to the car just to have me bring it back? The “owner” (security pointed him out but I’m not sure if it was actually an owner) was next to them… and let me and my friend in after I told him it was my first time there and I had followed the first security guard’s instruction.

The music was good, the dj that played tonight was great and attentive, playing a variety of music and shouted out the birthday girl! The drinks were a bit over priced, 5 beers for $40.

…but OVERALL it’s definitely NOT worth the headache when there are other clubs in Newark and the surrounding cities that provide better customer service. And customer service is KEY nowadays.

I've never been to this place this was the first time going with a group of friends and when i handed my Id' to the security Guard he had The nerve to say my id wasn't me only difference is I had black hair in my id and my hair was dyed blonde and then said it was a fake id. I'm of legal age I'm 25 I showed my state ID but the security guard professionalism was unexceptable. He then told the guys they couldn't wear shorts but there were more then a few people inside with shorts and sweat pants but he decided to pick on us cause of our appearances. after we asked him to look over the id again he tried to start a fight we decided to leave and after we had walked away he tried to follow us to start a fight after we had left that's when a lady grabs him and they walk off to her car unbuckling his pants this was last night 05/27/23 what type of place offers this type of Curtsey and especially to people that's their first time coming to this place . DO NOT TRUST THE LIQOUR HERE. I went here with my family and although the music (Latin only) was great, the drinks were not. We ordered numerous shots of PATRON and just by the smell you could tell it was NOT patron. There were girls in the bathroom discussing the same thing! They were saying how the Patron was watered down/they put another drink in the patron bottle (one of the girls USED to be a bartender and confirmed this). Also, one of the bartenders at the place confirmed that they would mix patron with another drink because “it was too strong for customers to handle.“ Again, the music/vibe here was pretty good, just be careful with what you get because they DO TAMPER...
