Giovanni Pizza Pasta & Grill — Restaurant in Newark

This was my first time in this restaurant. Bad service from one spirit person. I went in to make 2 orders. The cashier took one order and left to answer phone calls, take the pizza out the oven. This took about 5-6 mins. Then I waited to place the other order. In the beginning he said the total was $28 then proceeded to say it was a mistake and the total was $30. No issue there we all make mistakes. I waited a while to find out that they gave me the wrong slice that I ordered. They had not added my cheese fries when I had mentioned it. No issue once again, mistakes happen. I was told I needed to pay $4 extra dollars. I wanted to get a full receipt with prices to know how much I had to pay, because I had said cheese fries and was wondering why now “it wasn’t added to the recipe.” The cashier was very rude and didn’t want to show me the prices. He made it seem like I was trying to steal him $4 when in reality I just wanted to clear up the confusion. He turned back and said the total was $34. I took the receipt where he rewrote the items and proceed to leave after I paid. I was too annoyed. I got home and I added my total and it was not $34. I’m simply annoyed at the lack of patience that I was greeted with. Overall I’m not please with the costumer service. DONT DO IT!!!!! PLEASE BEWARE .... THESE PEOPLE ARE DIRTY !!!!! THEY USE NO GLOVES!!!!! THEY DROP FOOD ON THE GROUND AND CONTINUE TO PICK IT UP AND COOK IT ...I SAW THIS WITH MY OWN EYES I HONESTLY CANT BELIEVE HOW HE JUST PICKED FOOD FROM THE FLOOR AND STILL PUT IT TO THE SIDE NOT INTO THE TRASH ON THE SIDE FOR A NEXT ORDER, WHERE THEY DO THAT AT? (GIOVVANI PIZZA PASTA & GRILL IS WHERE.) IF YOU ORDER FOR DELIVERY THEY WOULD SEND YOU THE WRONG ORDER AND DONT THINK TO COMPLAIN BECAUSE THEY DONT CARE AND YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT GET A REFUND EVEN IF YOU CALLED FOR DELIVERY AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING THEY WOULD TELL YOU ITS ON ITS WAY AND THEN WHEN YOU CALL AFTER CLOSING THEY WOULD SAY ITS CLOSED AND HANG UP WITHOUT GIVING YOU YOUR REFUND CAUSING THE COSTUMER THE TROUBLE AND HASSLE IT TAKES TO CALL THE BANK AND DISPUTE A CHARGE .... I HONESTLY DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL !!!

Delivery was 3 hours late for PICKUP. i waited as I had walked to the restaurant and i live in a dangerous neighborhood with no close food places. the order was not even accurate. they forgot to include my mozzarella sticks. i asked them if they would kindly deliver them to me as i had waited for so long and they had forgotten to include them. they said they would. i live one block away from them and yet it for some reason took them 2 additional hours to deliver them to me. this stingy restaurant (yes i said stingy and i'm a conservative) would not offer any reimbursements despite their errors to which they willingly admitted. i love pizza, but their pizza sucks and is disgusting. i refuse to order pizza from them. (That was just a side note). i only go there as they are close, but have been ordering elsewhere because the professionalism of the restaurant is not apparant. they in fact lack it as well as their restaurant is not the cleanest. Honestly, it seems to me that the positive reviews are by family and friends or people...
