We came for dinner to check this place that we've heard good things about. The food quality and portions were very good. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was fine. We would certainly come back. Being at a stand alone building in a shopping certer, there was plenty of parking. The restaurant had plenty of tablrs for big and small groups. The service was efficient. I would consider this a homestyle restaurant, where besides ordering a la carte you can get 3 dishes (from a separate list) for a set price ($35.99 at this review) with soup (dine-in only). Additional dishes after the 3 are $11.99 each. For this set-up your choices are numerous including such choices as fried flounder, various claypot dises, stir fried vegetables, meat dishes, and noodle dishes. White rice is $2 per order. For 3 people we had the spicy green beans with ground pork, the seafood tofu claypot, and the taro root chicken claypot. The first that arrives after ordering is the soup. On this day, it is corn and egg flower soup. A nice and light soup to stimulate the appetite. The green beans came out next. Fresh from a very hot wok it had great flavor. It was hard to stop eating it once you start and it's especially good accompaniment with white rice. The claypots took a little bit longer, but worth the little bit of wait. Both had flavorful vegetables (cabbage, carrots, etc) on the bottom. The seafood one had big chunks of cod, shrimp, fish paste, and fried tofu. The taro chicken pot had big slices of chicken, taro, shitaki mushrooms. Both had deep flavor without being too salty. We had enough leftovers for another meal. The atmosphere is casual and clearly they do a good take out business and many diners are repeat customers.

Ordered sizzling rice soup, green beans and a braised tofu dish. While wife was in the bathroom, I starting ordering, not knowing that she had already ordered and the waitress made a point to tell me that ordering any green bean dish would cost a dollar more due a shortage of green beans. That seemed kind of odd since the first thing I noticed when we sat down was a giant box of fresh green beans sitting on a table no more than 10 feet away from our table. When I relayed my experience to my wife, she said the waitress didn't mention that at all to her. Ok, so after this weirdness, we waited for our order. After an extended period of time, the sizzling rice soup arrived. When the waitress poured the rice into the soup, I knew right away the rice was not hot since the whole idea of sizzling rice soup is that the rice is supposed to be scorching hot so that when it is dropped into the soup, it makes a nice hissing noise. Not only was the rice not heated up, the soup itself was barely lukewarm. I called the waitress over to fix this issue. A few more minutes later and the green bean dish and tofu dish arrived. Neither could remotely be considered hot.

Good Neighbor Seafood Restaurant holds a special place in our hearts as our go-to spot for family dinners. Our love affair with their delicious cuisine dates back to their days next door to the big building in the same parking lot, formerly Lucky's. Their food is unrivaled in the area, boasting the finest Chinese flavors that keep us coming back time and time again. What sets them apart is their personalized service; they greet us like old friends and already know our favorite orders. It warms our hearts when they ask about other family members who couldn't join us. Even during busy times, the wait is never unbearable, a testament to their efficient service and commitment to customer satisfaction. Good Neighbor Seafood Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's a cherished part of our family traditions.

My daughter and I ate lunch there for the first time. Asked for Orange Chicken and another two plates. The other two plates were what we asked for but the Orange Chicken was not right. My daughter knows I'm allergic to seafood so she tried the orange chicken. She said, "Mom, I don't think you should have the Orange chicken because I don't think it's chicken" I saw the waitress walk by and asked her if what we ordered was chicken. She was quickly walking by and looked down at the plate and said, "Ya,Ya Chicken" I un-peeled the orange crust from the dish and it turns out it looked like calamari or some form of fish. Once I saw her again, I asked are you sure this is chicken because I am allergic to seafood. She asked me why I'm allergic to seafood :( I told her that was a good question and would be sure to ask the ambulance why I was allergic once they got there. Her eyes opened wide - she did not know that I had not tried the stuff. Thank goodness for my daughters instinct in trying it first.

To make matters worse she went to the back kitchen and what sounded like a scuffle she returned saying she would only charge for the other 2 plates that we did eat from. She knew it was their mistake and was apologetic. Needless to say she overcharged the other two plates. I told her I was not leaving a tip but would pay the price she was charging but showed her the menu with the correct price. She obviously was overcharging me to make up for their mistake. I told her I would never again eat at this restaurant. Be careful what you get. I do not recommend this place at all. There are much better, cleaner places to eat Chinese...

We went here for late lunch. Their dishes are good. Some are not worth the price though. From the beginning the lady server seems rude. We are ordering and she keeps asking us "you're not ready right?" She said it so many times. Of course, its our first time to go there and we need to look at their menu and double check we are ordering what we wanted and since theres 10 of us we're asking everyone else what they like. So yeah thats kinda irritating. Next, we are asking about the party tray pricing, while my other Aunt is asking she" Shush" her while she's talking, it's really rude. We are just asking the price since there is nothing listed on the menu she gave us. And then, when we are about to leave, she stopped us because she wanted us to to choose the amount of tip that they already put in the receipt. We didnt follow their tip suggestion as it isn't mandatory. She stopped us outside and told us to change the tip we put in. And we asked her is it mandatory to follow the suggested tip amount, she said "IT'S OKAY, I WILL REMEMBER YOU". And we're like wow, that's not a good customer service kinda threatening. So we're not going back there. I'm giving stars for the food but for the service...
