Newbark Dog Park — Attraction in Newark

I love this park and so does my dog.. the dogs are super friendly and so are their humans.

unfortunately this place is filthy! I’ve only been bringing my dog here for about 3 weeks and the same puddles/stains of dog urine can be found on the concrete throughout the vicinity of the park.

This is very unhealthy. It has the potential to spread diseases and illness. Not to mention it stinks!

So the ritual after visiting this park is a thorough wipe down and pup decontamination. Which by the way, my dog absolutely hates 😂

I feel like the city could do better .. as they should! A power wash at least bi-weekly would do wonders. My guess is that it would take only a few...

Clean park with a small and large dog side. There are ramps and tunnels for the dogs to run and play on. Its nice to have the option of different sides in case there are too many dogs on one side. There is lots of space for the dogs to run around. Like with any dog park there are some people who don’t have a handle on their dogs and fights break out, so just be careful of aggressive dogs, usually on the large dog side. Best practice I found was leashing my dog whenever a new dog comes in cause often people will immediately let theirs off leash and it will go to attack...

This dog park is pretty clean and has a couple obstacle course items too. There's a good amount of space for the small dog area, which we took our dog to. The big dog side looks really big and also looks clean like the small dog side. I really like how there are benches here in the shade, two trash cans with recycling, and a water fountain with 3 fountain heads. The grass could use some work as it is a big clumpy, but it's probably a result of water saving I am guessing.

Overall, a great experience. We'll bring out dog here again and hope to meet...
