We tried the injeolmi, matcha, mango, and strawberry bingsoos (all L size) among 9 people for a post-dinner dessert, and it was the perfect amount! There is a good amount of ice, which is the consistency of fluffy powdered snow. It was a little messy to scoop out into the little bowls we asked them for (to share among each individual), but each one was a delicate, yummy flavor.
The injeolmi was my favorite to begin with, but kind of loses its flavor toward the end of the main bowl because its flavor is concentrated in the soy powder topping, which gets eaten up real fast. The matcha thus became my all-around favorite for consistent flavor throughout the dish. The mango one is also really yummy if you prefer fruit teas and flavors! :) The only one I kinda regretted buying was the strawberry one because ours didn't have sweet strawberries, so it ended up being really meh... maybe you'd have better luck with your batch?
I appreciated the little milk cups they give on the side to add to the desserts, but honestly can't say that they seem to make that much of a difference flavor-wise. Maybe they're just for if you prefer a slushy-er texture rather than the fluffy snow!
All in all, this was a nice place for our group to hang out and chill with enjoyable desserts!
P.S. their napkins are almost plastic-ky and are really bad at picking up fallen snow and...
Read moreMandRo Teahouse is in the Newark Marketplace located facing the Newark Blvd side. I've only been here once but just from visiting once, it's enough to say that it's worth coming here for their bingsu! They have another location that recently opened up in Milpitas which is perfect, because it'll be much closer for me!
《Parking》 There's always enough parking within the plaza and infront of the store. So no need to worry about no parking!
《Food》 I ordered the Fruit tea; it came with fresh fruit inside with a green tea base. They also provide you with a fork so you can eat the fruit after you finish the drink! I think it's super refreshing, and a plus for having a small snack afterwards. I also got the strawberry bingsu; I felt like my bingsu was on the shorter side than most pictures on here... so that was kind of disappointing. But the flavor & snow ice made it all up! It was pleasantly sweet with the fresh sliced strawberries and the milky ice. It also comes with a little cup of diluted condensed milk to pour over. There aren't many bingsu places around me that are of good quality, so I enjoyed it here!
I'll definitely come back, but most likely to the...
Read moreThis is my to go place in Fremont! I love their milk tea!! My favorite is the 3m milk tea where they have boba, grass jelly, and pudding. This is the perfect combo and I don't have choose one over the other. I have a sweet tooth and I get 80% sweetness which is the perfect level for me. I tried other variations of their milk tea and they were all great. They have a new brown sugar boba latte and the drink is pretty with the brown sugar mixed with the milk. Their peach green tea with boba was also delicious. Their watermelon slushie was decent and definitely tastes like fresh watermelon. I personally prefer their milk tea drinks though. Popcorn chicken was hot and tasty. Pretty flavorful!
I have been here several times during shelter in place for drinks takeout. A face mask is required to enter and everything in the store is very clean. It was pretty easy and fast ordering drinks in the store.
I did go to the store once before COVID and I remember their mango bingsoo being on point too! It comes with plenty of mango and condensed milk. It was refreshing and delicious dessert! I would definitely be looking forward to trying their...
