Recently opened, TrueWin boasts a decent variety of drinks and modern, stylish ambiance. The interior is clean and tidy, boasting a pleasant color scheme that adds to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of parking makes it convenient for quick stops or leisurely visits.
The drinks here not only look enticing but also deliver on taste. I highly recommend trying the Mango Pomelo Sago King and the Bobochacha, especially with 0% & 25% sugar adjustments respectively. Both drinks are refreshing and well-balanced, showcasing the shop's potential to become a favorite among boba enthusiasts.
However, the experience isn't perfect. While the staff is polite, they could benefit from more training to be more knowledgeable and exude better energy. Additionally, the background music could use an upgrade to enhance the overall vibe.
The wait time was a little long for just two drinks, even though the shop wasn't busy, which was slightly disappointing.
The menu, though extensive, could be redesigned to highlight their standout drinks better. At first glance, there's nothing that dramatically sets TrueWin apart from other boba shops, except for their unique offering of soufflés, which are a delightful addition.
Overall, TrueWin earns a solid 3.5 stars. With some improvements in service, menu presentation, and efficiency, it has the potential to be a top contender in...
Read moreI appreciate a tea shoppe that serves items outside the norm, items you don't see at just any boba tea place. The bobochacha has a creamy coconut milk base and a bunch of toppings! It's like eating a dessert through a straw, so yummy! I loved the taro bits and milk pudding. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the qq noodle. This drink also had watermelon bits and sago. The store recommended sweetness level for this drink is 25% and it was just right for our taste buds.
The souffle was light and had a nice neutral flavor. It's not the most airy souffle though; for example, not as airy as souffle pancakes from SweetHoney. This is likely so you can get your order quickly and hold it like a sandwich. The souffles are made ahead of time and in a display case. Since these are served this way, the pancake is not warm; it's slightly colder than room temp. The cream is not as light as I would have expected from Asian dessert creams. The grapes were fresh and juicy but just decorative on the outside instead of fruit throughout the cake. This souffle is great for quick, on the go, grab and eat.
I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their iron goddess drinks and a different souffle with the flavor infused...
Read moreThis place is always busy and the line outside is what brought me to try this tea spot in the first place. I've been making almost weekly visits ever since! I always love a boba shop that offers 0% sugar - I usually order extra honey boba, so that covers the sweetness for me. You can also adjust your ice level and they have a good variety of tea and milk tea options. I try not to get the souffle desserts too often, because they're darn addicting! I LOVE the matcha and the strawberry. My partner has started picking them up on the way home now. With the recent additions of popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, and a few other savory items, this place rocks as a tea shoppe. The staff is always extremely nice and you can order from a kiosk inside if you don't want to stand and wait in the line. Their wifi is fast too. The only downside I see is the lack of space and seating - this spot is so busy that they may need to move to a larger location. Just hoping they keep it in the same shopping center since this is so...
