MAP Restaurant Supplies — Restaurant in Newark

My review is just solely based on being a former employee of the company. A family business which is tight knit and ran by the wife,husband and their 2 sons. No one takes the time to show you how things are done, so many people with authority so you never know who to listen to, and the job description is warehouse/delivery driver. The sad truth is they take seniority very serious. And the guy with the longest time being employed is their favorite and they dont even try and hide it. He is on the road every day and does little to no warehouse work. You get told you will hit the road, that's nonsense. You hit the road your first 2 days then boom, your in the warehouse being micro managed by the chief and all his Indians. The pay is decent and the location sucks. It floods and they claim to treat you like family but in all reality your just another employee. Unless you've gained seniority otherwise then they'll appreciate your work. Dont work here if you like being on the road.. you'll be micro managed, people will take advantage of you, you will hear people throwing indirect comments to bash peoples performance and quite frankly it's not a healthy work environment. 1 star isnt even cutting it to be honest.. I couldnt put half a star so they get a full 1. this is only an employee review for future employees. I'm not sure how they run...
