Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Newark

I passed by the Raisin Cain's in the college squaring shopping center in Newark multiple times and the drive through was usually packed. I thought to myself "something must be good to have that kind of crowd". I finally got around to trying it today. Before even going into the restaurant, I thought to myself "what can you do with chicken tenders to spice them up to draw a crowd?" I had sticker shock looking at the price, almost $2.00 for one chicken tender. I bit the bullet and decided for $2.00 per tender they must be good. I was very disappointed. Their chicken tenders and fries I could've gotten from Walmart. In my opinion there was nothing special about the actual chicken tenders or fries. My niece suggested this place. She has been before not I. This was my first time having it and I must say food was very good hot and fresh. I got the 3 chicken tenders combo and she got some other kind with coleslaw which she asked to substitute with another Texas toast. They were happy to substitute it for her and took my surprise I wished I ordered an extra one on the side for me😂😂. That toast was fresh warm soft slightly doughy and has like a sweet taste to it but all the combinations are just right with this combo. Will visit again. Stopped by the drive-through for food around 10pm last night. Received our food quickly and proceeded to leave as normal. While driving off we noticed something coming towards us... a valiant knight appeared in the darkness, jumping over hurdles and dodging obstacles in the parking lot as he came our way. Shoutout to The Flash, aka Al, for heroically sprinting at least 50 yards to get my husband’s credit card back to us as we were actively driving away. 10/10 customer service at Raising Canes Newark.
