I was gifted certificates for a facial and a massage this past Christmas and had only just gotten around to using them. WOW why did I wait so long!!! The ladies at the front desk were very helpful in getting me scheduled. Once I arrived I was greeted and after checking in was sent to the waiting lounge. I had a deep tissue massage with Rich that was wonderful. I told him I’m a mother of 4 year old twins and so while I didn’t have a specific area to target I just wanted max pressure and relaxation. Rich was respectful and very thorough — I’ll definitely be back in for another massage with him. For my facial I had Epiphany, whom was very sweet and knowledgeable. We discussed my concerns and she presented 2 different facial options tailored to my needs. My goodness what a calming experience… and my face truly was glowing! After my massage & facial I was taken into another room for a final 10 minute massage on a really neat high water-pressure bed which really helped me kind of wake back up a bit after being in a hazy state of zen for a couple hours. The professionalism at Massage Luxe is top tier. Everyone in there made me feel welcome and comfortable. I did end up taking advantage of their membership option at the end of my session. I’m already booked next month for another facial with Epiphany because I can’t wait to try the other facial she recommended. I love that I’ll be able to switch between facials and massages as desired. After previously having two separate less than ideal experiences at H&S over the years I thought I was cursed. There is a 6 hour cancelation policy. When you don't meet the 6 hour mark ON THE DOT you lose your session, meaning you're charged anyway. Today I was 25 minutes shy of making the 6 hour mark. Even my doctor's office isn't this rigid with their cancelation policy. Getting a massage is supposed to be a stress reliever. I shouldn't feel stressed or pressured about needing to cancel an appointment. Charging for a whole session over missing the 6 hour mark by a trivial 25 minutes, meanwhile I'm paying $120 a month for a membership is showing a customer absolutely no grace. You permanently lost a customer & risked receiving an unfavorable review for the public to see over a measely 25 minutes. Folks you'd be better off going to one of your local Asian spas for a massage. At least the availability of parking & getting more than a mediocre massage would be a plus.
