Coffee Cat Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Newberg

Go across the street to Chapters instead! My wife and I (more so my wife) come here often and have enjoyed it every time. Today we came and had the worst customer service I’ve ever had at a coffee shop - especially a locally owned one. The baristas were so rude and laughing, smirking and talking under their breath as I was trying to raise my concerns to them. When I asked for the owner they laughed and said she wasn’t there today. This all happened a couple of days after my buddy who I told to go here had to wait 15-30 minutes for a bagel. The owner did apologize for that incident as she was there that day. Apparently when the owner is not there the baristas act however they want. I’ve reached out to the owner to share my experience. My family, along with another couple of regulars that witnessed this, will be going to Chapters instead from now on. We’ve never had anything but great customer service and great coffee from Chapters.

UPDATE: The owner responded to my complaint via email and was able to get both sides (ours as well as the baristas) and, I feel, responded appropriately to address the concerns. While I still do not feel that I will be returning any time soon I am appreciative of Tiffany’s swift response and taking action to prevent this...

Best coffee hands down.

The espresso is always smooth, creamy and never bitter their beans are absolutely delicious. It's also obvious they take good care of their espresso machine. The price is excellent for the quality that you get and I've never had a bad cup of coffee here. I can't speak for a lot of the food or other beverages but I do often get their breakfast begel with cheese, egg, and ham and it is also great. The begel is soft and warm the cheese melted and the egg never overcooked. The people working the counter are always kind. The owner is a very nice lady.

I used to frequent this place, being a previous barista I can be a little picky, and this place used to be great. I stopped in for the first time in a while today and the service was nice however I purchased an iced coffee and an iced chai the chai had hemp milk, a new hemp milk was opened and not shaken therefore all of the stuff that sits on top was poured into my chai with a ton of vanilla flavoring, the coffee was extremely sweet and made with a powdered chocolate that was not stirred in. I don't normally write reviews and would have loved to leave a good one however it bums me out a little when I spend 12 bucks on beverages and...
